Abstract
Public awareness of the importance of health is a factor in increasing the number of patients coming to health center. The large number of patients who come require faster and responsive service than ever before. The length of service waiting time in the system causes the patient to leave, resulted in a new problem in the patient's service process. This research implements Discrete Event Simulation (DES) method using Software Simul8 to address the problems of service performance given to patients in the district Health center of Kebon Jeruk. The Data is taken when the patient' having registration at the counter until receiving the prescribtion or buying drug at the pharmacy. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the DES method can represent a real system found in the Puskesmas, and the results of data processing from the performance of health care can increase 46% the number of patients and reduce 29% the time of service Drastic when applying online registration and registration counter operating hours changed from previously pressing 06.00 – 12.00 to 07.00 – 13.00. Key words : Discrete Event Simulation, Service Excellence Kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya kesehatan menjadi faktor peningkatan jumlah pasien yang datang ke puskesmas. Banyaknya jumlah pasien yang datang mengharuskan pelayanan lebih cepat dan tanggap dari sebelumnya, lamanya waktu tunggu pelayanan dalam sistem menyebabkan pasien keluar dari sistem. Hal ini mengakibatkan munculnya masalah baru dalam proses pelayanan pasien. Penelitian ini mengimplementasikan metode Discrete Event Simulation (DES) dengan menggunakan Software Simul8 untuk menangani permasalahan mengenai kinerja pelayanan yang diberikan kepada pasien di Puskesmas Kecamatan Kebon Jeruk. Data yang diambil merupakan waktu pelayanan pasien mulai dari pendaftaran di loket registrasi hingga menerima obat di apotek. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa waktu pelayanan dapat berkurang 29% dan jumlah pasien yang terlayani dapat meningkat 46% apabila cara registrasi ditambah menggunakan registrasi online dan jam operasional loket registrasi berubah yang sebelumnya pukul 06.00 – 12.00 menjadi 07.00 – 13.00.
