Abstract

Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB) uses social media as a publication medium for disseminating information on natural disaster mitigation to the public. This study aims to determine the strategy for using natural disaster mitigation infographics using social media Instagram @bnpb_indonesia and Facebook of the Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana for the period 2020. Researchers chose to disseminate public information through social media Instagram and Faceboook because based on the results of observations the quantity of likes and comments was mostly using the method. qualitative with case study method. The results of the research on natural disaster mitigation infographics used by BNPB chose a narrative approach. This can be seen in each of his illustrative infographics, attracting audiences with visuals, informing but also entertaining. BNPB uses static infographics and motion infographics as a means of spreading natural disaster mitigation. Visitors or targets of natural disaster mitigation infographics, namely all groups, but focusing on teenagers to adults. Most of the elements contained in the natural disaster mitigation infographic, such as data, visualization, editorial and illustrations can be seen in each mitigation infographic. Keywords: communication strategy, natural disaster mitigation, infographics, social media, Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB) Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB) menggunakan media sosial sebagai media publikasi untuk penyebaran informasi mitigasi bencana alam kepada masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi penggunaan infografis mitigasi bencana alam menggunakan media sosial Instagram @bnpb_indonesia dan Facebook Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana periode 2020. Peneliti memilih penyebaran informasi publik melalui media sosial Instagram dan Faceboook karena berdasarkan hasil pengamatan kuantitas like dan komentar paling banyak dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Hasil penelitian infografis mitigasi bencana alam yang digunakan BNPB memilih pendekatan narrative. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dalam setiap infografisnya yang ilustratif, mengundang daya tarik khalayak dengan visual, menginformasikan namun juga menghibur. BNPB menggunakan infografis static dan motion infografis sebagai salah satu sarana penyebaran mitigasi bencana alam. Pengunjung atau target dari infografis mitigasi bencana alam, yaitu semua kalangan, namun berfokus pada usia remaja sampai dewasa. Unsur-unsur yang terdapat pada infografis mitigasi bencana alam, seperti data, visualisasi, editorial dan ilustrasi sebagian besar dapat dilihat pada setiap infografis mitigasi.
