Abstract

ABSTRAK Kuat Tekan Beton Ringan Struktural Dengan Menggunakan Styrofoam, Rifdah Abiyyah, 41118310051, Agung Sumarno, S.T, M.T, 2019 Beton merupakan salah satu komponen penting penyusun struktur konstruksi. Dalam perkembangannya inovasi – inovasi dalam pembuatan beton baik dalam bahan campuran maupun metode pengerjaan beton terus berkembang. Beton ringan dengan campuran styrofoam sebagai subsitusi agregat merupakan salah satu inovasi yang dibuat karena adanya kebutuhan beton dengan spesifikasi tertentu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan styrofoam sebagai subsitusi agregat terhadap kemudahan pengerjaan (workability), densitas (density), penyerapan dan nilai kuat tekan beton. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimental beton ringan struktural menggunakan styrofoam sebagai subsitusi agregat kasar dan agregat halus. Data diperoleh dari pengujian secara langsung di laboratorium. Variasi penggunaan Styrofoam sebagai subsitusi agregat kasar sebanyak 0%, 50%, 100% lalu dilanjutkan dengan 25% dan 50% subsitusi agregat halus, untuk hasil densitas, penyerapan dan kuat tekan, berturut-turut mengalami penurunan seiring penambahan volume subsitusi agregat. Kata kunci : Styrofoam, Densitas, Penyerapan, Kuat Tekan ABSTRACT Concrete is one of the important components making up the construction structure. In its development, innovations in the manufacture of concrete both in mixed materials and concrete working methods continue to develop. Lightweight concrete with a mixture of Styrofoam as an aggregate substitution is one of the innovations made as an alternative to natural aggregate which cannot be renewed and can be used up at any time. This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of styrofoam as an aggregate substitution on workability, density, absorption and compressive strength of concrete. The method used in this study is an experimental method of structural lightweight concrete using styrofoam as a substitution of coarse and fine aggregates. Data obtained from testing directly in the laboratory. The variations in the use of Styrofoam as a gross aggregate substitution of 0%, 50%, 100% then continued with 25% and 50% fine aggregate substitution, for the results of density, absorption and compressive strength, respectively decreased as the volume of aggregate substitution increased.
