Abstract
The development of creative industry lately raised a lot of works from art workers. By pouring his creative ideas into a product that has value to sell, art workers began to try to fill the market needs in creating a toy product that is different from most monotonous factory toy output. Urban Toys is becoming a trend today. Its uniqueness is to have a form of diversity that matches the imagination and message that the toy designer wants to convey as well as the artistic value that differentiates it from other toy products. So in this report the author will make about the design of the iconic characters of the 90s era. Tama'90 is one of the urban toys that can be customized and add additional accessories that will revive the beautiful memory of the 90s. KEYWORDS : DESIGN, TOYS, URBAN TOYS, GENERATION 90S Berkembangnya industry kreatif belakangan ini banyak memunculkan karya-karya dari kalangan pekeja seni. Dengan menuangkan ide kreatifnya kedalam suatu produk yang memiliki nilai jual, para pekerja seni mulai mencoba mengisi kebutuhan pasar dalam menciptakan suatu produk mainan yang berbeda dari kebanyakan mainan keluaran pabrik yang monoton. Urban Toys menjadi tren saat ini. Keunikannya adalah mempunyai bentuk keragaman yang sesuai dengan imajinasi dan pesan yang ingin disampaikan oleh desainer mainan serta nilai seni yang membedakan dengan produk mainan lainnya. Maka dalam laporan ini penulis akan membuat mengenai perancangan karakter ikonik era 90an. Tama’90 adalah salah satu urban toys yang dapat dicustom dan menambah aksesoris tambahan yang akan membangkitkan kembali memori indah pada era 90an.
