Abstract
Social media has become and integral part of daily life, including through the Tiktok apslication. Tiktok, as one of the popular platforms, offers enganging content that often triggers the Fear of Missing Out among young adults. In reality, Tiktok is often used spontaneously without planning and only following momentary impulses, which can be influenced by the user’s Happiness dan Peer Attachment. The aim of this study is to examine the influence of Happiness dan Peer Attachment on Fear of Missing Out on Tiktok ampng young adults. This study uses a quantitative approach with a non-probability sampling technique, specifically accidental sampling, and involves 390 young adult respondents who are active tiktok users. The measurement tools used are the Online Fear of Missing Out Scale (ON-Fear of Missing Out) by Sette (2019), the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (OHQ) by Hills and Argle (2002), and the Inventory of Parents and Peer Attachment (IPPA) developed by Armsden dan Greenberg (2009). The research data were analyzed using multiple linear regression test with the help of SPSS 20. The results show that Happiness and Peer Attachment together influence Fear of Missing Out on Tiktok among young adults. However, on a partial basis, Peer Attachment has a greater significance on Fear of Missing Out on Tiktok among young adults by 9.2% (p= 0.00 < 0.05). Meanwhile, Happiness also has an effect, but its role in Fear of Missing Out on Tiktok among young adults is not substantial. Keywords : Happiness, Peer Attachment, Fear of Missing Out Media sosial telah menjadi bagian integral dari kehidupan sehari-hari, salah satunya melalui aplikasi tiktok. Tiktok sebagai salah satu platform yang populer dan menawarkan konten menarik yang sering memicu Fear of Missing Out dikalangan dewasa awal. Kenyataannya platform tiktok seringkali dilakukan secara spontan tanpa perencanaan serta hanya mengikuti dorongan sesaat, dan hal ini dapat dipengaruhi oleh Happiness dan Peer Attachment penggunanya. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengkaji pengaruh Happiness dan Peer Attachment terhadap Fear of Missing Out di tiktok pada Dewasa Awal. Penelitian ini memakai pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik sampling non-probability sampling dengan metode accidental sampling dan melibatkan 390 responden dewasa awal yang aktif menggunakan aplikasi tiktok. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Scale Online Fear of Missing Out (ON-Fear of Missing Out) dari Sette (2019), Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (OHQ) dari Hills and Argyle (2002), Inventory of Parents and Peer Attachment (IPPA) yang dikembangkan oleh Armsden dan Greenberg (2009). Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan SPSS 20. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa Happiness dan Peer Attachment bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap Fear of Missing Out di tikok pada dewasa awal. Namun secara parsial, Peer Attachment lebih besar signifikansinya terhadap Fear of Missing Out di tiktok pada dewasa awal sebesar 9.2% (p= 0.00 < 0.05). Sedangkan Happiness juga berpengaruh namun tidak banyak perannya terhadap Fear of Missing Out di tiktok pada dewasa awal. Kata Kunci : Happiness, Peer Attachment, Fear of Missing Out
