Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in the national scale of Printing and Publishing which is currently accepting a Shopping Brochure printing tender project. High quality is needed so that the information of the brochure can be received by the reader. In the printing process there are problems that is the occurrence of defect products with a percentage of 7.66% which exceeds the company tolerance limit of 5%. Therefore Six Sigma (DMAIC) method is used to analyze and evaluate the cause of the defect product. The results showed that the sigma level of the brochure production process was 3.58. The most defect is dirty print and based on FMEA scoring, it is known that the most urgent cause is paper transportation not smooth with RPN value 161 due to (1). Spare parts are not available, (2). Error compressor, (3). The water system has problems, (4). Printing plate quality is lacking. From the results of the assumption implementation of the proposed improvement, it is known that the RPN value has reduce to 37, resulting in an increase the quality of prints and reducing print defects. Keywords : Quality, Six Sigma, DMAIC, FMEA Percetakan dan Penerbitan yang pada saat ini menerima proyek tender pencetakan Brosur Belanja. Kualitas yang tinggi dibutuhkan agar informasi yang akan disampaikan brosur dapat diterima oleh pembaca. Pada proses cetaknya terdapat permasalahan yaitu terjadinya produk defect dengan persentase 7,66% yang melebihi batas yang toleransi perusahaan yaitu 5%. Oleh karena itu digunakan metode Six Sigma (DMAIC) untuk menganalisa dan mengevaluasi penyebab produk defect tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa level sigma dari proses produksi brosur adalah 3,58. Defect terbesar adalah cetakan kotor dan berdasarkan scoring FMEA diketahui penyebab yang paling mendesak adalah transportasi kertas tidak lancar dengan nilai RPN 161 yang dikarenakan (1). Sparepart tidak tersedia, (2). Kompresor error, (3). Sistem air pembasah bermasalah, (4). Kualitas acuan cetak kurang. Dari hasil asumsi pelaksanaan usulan perbaikan diketahui nilai RPN turun menjadi 37 sehingga terjadi peningkatan kualitas hasil cetak dan mengurangi defect cetak. Kata kunci yang dikarenakan (1).
