Abstract
This study aims to analyze and develop a framework related to the role of the commitment model for the sustainability of SME Banten SMEs, with research variables including organizational commitment to it's employee (OCE), organizational commitment, leadership, work environment, sustainability firm performance. Where in previous studies focused only on employee commitment, this study uses a commitment model in terms of employee commitment and organizational commitment. Reciprocal (non recursive) relationships in the commitment model were also developed where research so far has focused on non-reciprocal (recursive) relationships, this is one of the novelties of research besides adding the Recognition dimension to the OCE variable. This study uses quantitative methods with a total sample of 350 respondents. The sample in this study was taken from the population of SMEs Banten Province such as Serang City, South Tangerang City, Tangerang City, Tangerang Regency, Pandeglang Regency, Lebak Regency, and Cilegon City. There was a change in sampling techniques from probability sampling with random sampling to non-probability sampling with snowball sampling due to limitations in field data collection during the Covid-19 pandemic. The tools used in this study were SEM-AMOS. The analysis is carried out on three logical thinking model frameworks and produces a new reciprocal (non-recursive) model which is a synthesis of the two previous models. The research findings show that all hypotheses are accepted and the new reciprocal model has the strongest impact on the role of the commitment model on the sustainability of firm performance. Leadership variables and work environment variables significantly moderate the influence of the role of the commitment model on the sustainability of firm performance. Dimana pada penelitian sebelumnya banyak berfokus hanya pada komitmen karyawan, penelitian ini menggunakan model komitmen dari sisi komitmen karyawan dan komitmen organisasi. Hubungan reciprocal (non recursive) pada commitmen model juga dikembangkan, dimana penelitian selama ini banyak berfokus pada hubungan yang bersifat non reciprocal (recursive), hal ini menjadi salah satu novelty penelitian selain penambahan dimensi Recognition pada variabel OCE. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan total sampel sebanyak 350 responden. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dari populasi UKM yang tersebar di wilayah Provinsi Banten yaitu Kota Serang, Kota Tangerang Selatan, Kota Tangerang, Kabupaten Tangerang, Kabupaten Pandeglang, Kabupaten Lebak, dan Kota Cilegon. Terjadi perubahan teknik sampling dari probability sampling dengan random sampling menjadi non probability sampling dengan snowball sampling karena keterbatasan pengambilan data lapangan saat pandemi covid-19. Alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan SEM-AMOS. Analisis dilakukan terhadap tiga kerangka model pemikiran yang diasumsikan secara logis dan menghasilkan sebuah new model reciprocal (non recursive) yang merupakan sintesa dari dua model sebelumnya. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua hipotesis diterima dan new model reciprocal memberikan dampak paling kuat bagi pengaruh peran commitment model terhadap sustainability firm performance. Variabel kepemimpinan dan variabel lingkungan kerja memoderasi kuat pengaruh peran commitment model terhadap sustainability firm performance secara signifikan.
