Abstract

The development of technology, Social Media has become a tool used by companies to help prospective customers process information that suits their needs. Companies that utilize social media as their marketing tools are PT. Tiki Line Nugraha Ekakurir, better known as JNE. JNE uses Instagram to provide information. This study is to determine the extent of the influence of Central Information Processing "Social Media Message" Against the Decision to Choose JNE Services in West Jakarta with the theoretical Elaboration Likelihood Model. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of explanatory research. With the survey method by distributing questionnaires to 196 respondents obtained from calculations using the purposive sampling technique. Data analysis technique used is a Likert scale with data analysis of multiple linear regression equations. The results of this study are customers who have research criteria only 161 respondents. There is an influence between Central Information Processing of 39.2% and Peripheral Information Processing of 65.5%. And there is a joint influence on the Decision to Choose JNE Services by 68.4%. Based on the results of the research, the researcher gave a suggestion that the JNE social media team could focus on the content delivered in the form of information packaged more simply and easily understood, although central information such as information related to tariffs, types of services including promo or discount programs still needed to be informed . Keywords: Social Media, Information Processing, Elaboration Likelihood Model theory. Semakin berkembangnya teknologi saat ini, Social Media telah menjadi alat yang dimanfaatkan oleh perusahaan untuk membantu calon pelanggan memproses informasi yang sesuai kebutuhannya. Perusahaan yang memanfaatkan social media sebagai marketing toolsnya adalah PT. Tiki Jalur Nugraha Ekakurir yang lebih dikenal sebagai JNE. JNE memanfaatkan media Instagram untuk memberikan informasi. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Sejauhmana Pengaruh Pemrosesan Informasi Secara Sentral “Pesan Social Media” Terhadap Keputusan Memilih Jasa JNE di Jakarta Barat dengan landasan teori Elaboration Likelihood Model. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan tipe penelitian eksplanatif. Dengan metode survey dengan membagikan kuesioner kepada 196 responden yang didapatkan dari perhitungan dengan menggunakan teknik pusposive sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah skala likert dengan analisis data persamaan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu pelanggan yang memiliki kriteria penelitian hanya 161 responden. Terdapat pengaruh antara Pemrosesan Informasi Secara Sentral sebesar 39,2 % dan Pemrosesan Informasi Secara Periferal sebesar 65,5%. Dan terdapat pengaruh secara bersama-sama terhadap Keputusan Memilih Jasa JNE sebesar 68,4 %. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian adapun peneliti memberikan saran yaitu tim social media JNE dapat memfokuskan konten yang disampaikan dalam bentuk informasi yang dikemas lebih sederhana dan mudah dipahami, meskipun informasi secara Sentral seperti informasi terkait tarif, jenis layanan termasuk di dalamnya program promo atau diskon tetap diperlukan untuk diinformasikan.
