Abstract
TikTok has evolved into a valuable social media site for disseminating a wide range of material, including instructional videos on public speaking. So that people may learn public speaking better using social media. The purpose of this study is to examine the method by which the TikTok channel @daffaspeaks disseminates its public speaking resources to its audience. The post-positivist paradigm is used in this study. This study makes use of a qualitative descriptive approach to analyze the TikTok posts made by the user @daffaspeaks. The results showed that the @daffaspeaks account uses assertive and interactive communication, where he not only conveys one-way information but also involves followers in his content through public speaking challenges, replying to comments, and using language that is easy to understand and relatable. She also applies analogy techniques and the use of slang to make her content more interesting and digestible for young audiences. Key words: communication strategies, public speaking, educational content, TikTok Berbagai genre materi, termasuk instruksi berbicara di depan umum, dapat dibagikan di situs media sosial populer TikTok. Agar dapat memanfaatkan media sosial dengan lebih baik untuk tujuan pembelajaran public speaking. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji metode yang digunakan saluran TikTok @daffaspeaks dalam menyebarkan video berbicara di depan umum kepada pemirsanya. Pendekatan yang dikenal sebagai post-positivisme digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Menggunakan materi yang dipublikasikan akun TikTok @daffaspeaks.., penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi deskriptif kualitatif. Riset menunjukkan bahwa akun @daffaspeaks cukup populer. Bahasa yang tegas dan menarik digunakan oleh akun tik tok @daffaspeaks. di mana ia tidak hanya menyampaikan informasi satu arah tetapi juga melibatkan followers dalam kontennya melalui tantangan public speaking, membalas komentar, serta menggunakan bahasa yang mudah dipahami dan relatable. Ia juga menerapkan teknik analogi serta penggunaan bahasa gaul agar kontennya lebih menarik dan mudah dicerna oleh audiens muda.
