Abstract
In the growing digital age, social media such as Instagram has become a popular platform where individuals can communicate, interact, and share content online. However, negative phenomena such as cyberbullying have also emerged on this Instagram social media. Cyberbullying refers to the act of using information and communication technology to insult, intimidate, or harm others online. Cyberbullying is aggressive behavior carried out continuously by one or a group of people through electronic or digital media to harm or degrade the victim through digital or electronic media. Therefore, this study aims to determine the markers and signs of cyberbullying in the comments column of @chndrika_ Instagram account. This research uses Ferdinand De Saussure's theory of Semiotics. Fedinand De Saussure's theory discusses language as a sign system or symbol used to understand meaning and communication. This research uses the constructivism paradigm through a qualitative type of approach that is interpretive. Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotic analysis research method focuses on signifiers, and signifiers. In accordance with the results of the discussion, Chandrika Chika's Instagram account comment column has cyberbullying which can be seen from verbal messages and non-verbal messages written in the account's comment column. Then the message is constructed through signs and markers according to the theory of Ferdinand De Saussure. Keywords: Cyberbullying, Instagram, Semiotics Ferdinand De Saussure Pada era digital yang semakin berkembang, media sosial seperti Instagram telah menjadi platform populer dimana individu dapat berkomunikasi, berinteraksi, dan berbagi konten secara online. Namun, fenomena negatif seperti cyberbullying juga telah muncul di media sosial Instagram ini. Cyberbullying merujuk pada tindakan penggunaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi untuk menghina, mengintimidasi, atau merugikan orang lain secara online. Cyberbullying adalah perilaku agresif yang dilakukan secara terus-menerus oleh satu atau sekelompok orang melalui media elektronik atau digital untuk merugikan atau merendahkan korban melalui media digital atau elektronik. Maka dari itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penanda dan petanda cyberbullying di kolom komentar akun Instagram @chndrika_. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Semiotika Ferdinand De Saussure. Teori Fedinand De Saussure membahas tentang bahasa sebagai system tanda atau symbol yang digunakan untuk memahami makna dan komunikasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme melalui tipe pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat interpretative. Metode penelitian analisis Semiotika Ferdinand De Saussure memfokuskan kepada penanda (signifier), dan petanda (signified). Sesuai dengan hasil pembahasan, bahwa kolom komentar akun instagram Chandrika Chika terdapat cyberbullying yang dapat terlihat dari pesan verbal dan pesan non-verbal yang dituliskan di kolom komentar akun tersebut. Lalu pesan tersebut di kontruksikan melalui petanda dan penanda sesuai dengan teori Ferdinand De Saussure. Kata kunci : Cyberbullying, Instagram, Semiotika Ferdinand De Saussure
