Abstract
Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku movie is one of communication media that full of signs and meanings to communicate messages to the audience. This movie has attracted controversy because it tells the story of a self-concept that contradicts society norms. This becomes a traumatik story that has a negative psychological impact on a person. This research use Roland Barthes semiotics theory. Semiotics, as defined by Roland Barthes analyzes signals through the meanings of denotation, connotation, and mythos. By applying the critis paradigm in an interpretative qualitative research method. This research concludes the traumatik sign detected in Juno's character in Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku movie are found in the meaning of the first stage of denotation, specifically that there are traumatik signs in the movie's cutscenes that are studied using the meaning of visual and non-visual elements in movie. Then the second level meaning of connotation where the sign that has appeared has an implied meaning of Juno who is traumatized, namely the researcher gets pieces of pictures that show the traumatik experience experienced by Juno's character in the form of being aggressive, isolating himself, having problems with his identity, experiencing feelings that pathetic, self-blame, feeling fear about things related to the traumatik experience. And found the myth of the existence of patriarchal ideology in Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku movie. Keywords: Traumatic, Semiotics, Movie, Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku. Film Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku merupakan salah satu media komunikasi yang sarat susunan tanda dan makna pesan kepada khalayak. Film ini memiliki kontroversi karena mengangkat kisah konsep diri yang berlawanan dengan norma masyarakat. Hal tersebut menjadi kisah traumatis yang memberikan dampak negatif terhadap psikologis seseorang. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori semiotika menurut Roland Barthes. Semiotika Roland Barthes mengkaji tanda melalui pemaknaan denotasi, konotasi serta mitos. Dengan menggunakan paradigma kritis melalui tipe penelitian pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat interpretatif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tanda traumatik yang dialami oleh tokoh Juno dalam film Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku ditemukan pada pemaknaan tahap pertama denotasi yakni terdapat tanda traumatik dalam potongan scene film Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku yang di kaji menggunakan pemaknaan unsur visual dan non visual sinematik dalam film. Kemudian pemaknaan tingkat kedua konotasi dimana tanda yang telah muncul memiliki makna tersirat akan Juno yang mengalami trauma yakni peneliti mendapatkan potongan-potongan gambar yang menunjukan adanya pengalaman traumatik yang dialami tokoh Juno berupa bersifat agresif, mengisolasi diri, mengalami masalah dengan jati dirinya, mengalami perasaan yang mengenaskan, menyalahkan dirinya sendiri, merasakan ketakutan akan hal yang berhubungan dengan pengalaman traumatik. Dan ditemukan mitos terdapatnya ideologi patriarki dalam film Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku. Kata Kunci : Traumatik, Semiotika, Film, Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku.
