Abstract

PT Torus Muda Indonesia is a startup company since October 2014 from Manado, led by Jemlsy Elia Sitorus. When talking about a company, it cannot be separated from the name of a leader. Because, the success of a company either as a whole or internal and external groups of the company, is very dependent on the formation of relationships, character and values in the corporate climate formed by the leaders themselves. This study aims to determine the Leadership Communication Style of Jemsly Elia Sitorus in establishing good relations with employees at PT Torus Muda Indonesia. This type of research is descriptive qualitative and uses a case study method where the data source is obtained from primary data derived from interviews with Jemsly Elia Sitorus, operations manager, and employees of PT Torus Muda Indonesia. And, secondary data is obtained from books, documents or company profiles, relevant records, and writing. Based on the results of research conducted, in PT Torus Muda Indonesia Jemsly Elia Sitorus has a Leadership Communication Style which controlling style, equalitarian style, structuring style, dynamic style, the relinquishing style and three out of seven the continum leadership style in establishing good relations with employees. This research hopes to be able to provide information about good leadership communication style related to use findings to be applied in the future in PT Torus Muda Indonesia, many more large companies and or other startup companies. PT Torus Muda Indonesia merupakan perusahaan startup sejak Oktober 2014 asal Manado yang dipimpin oleh Jemlsy Elia Sitorus. Apabila berbicara tentang perusahaan pasti tidak lepas dengan yang namanya seorang pemimpin. Karena, keberhasilan suatu perusahaan baik secara keseluruhan atau kelompok internal dan eksternal perusahaan, sangat bergantung pada pembentukan hubungan, karakter dan nilai dalam iklim perusahaan yang dibentuk oleh pemimpinnya sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Gaya Komunikasi Kepemimpinan Jemsly Elia Sitorus dalam menjalin hubungan baik dengan karyawan di PT. Torus Muda Indonesia. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dan menggunakan metode studi kasus dimana sumber data diperoleh dari data primer yang berasal dari wawancara dengan Jemsly Elia Sitorus, manager operasional, dan karyawan PT. Torus Muda Indonesia. Dan, data sekunder diperoleh dari buku,dokumen atau profil perusahaan, catatan dan penulisan yang relevan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, dalam PT. Torus Muda Indonesia terdapat Gaya Komunikasi Kepemimpinan Jemsly Elia Sitorus yang controlling style, equalitarian style, structuring style, dynamic style, the relinquishing style dan tiga dari tujuh gaya kepemimpinan kontinum dalam menjalin hubungan baik dengan karyawan. Harapan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk dapat memberikan informasi mengenai gaya komunikasi kepemimpinan yang baik terkait temuan yang bermanfaat untuk diterapkan kedepannya di dalam PT Torus Muda Indonesia dan di banyak perusahaan besar, ataupun di perusahaan startup lainnya.
