Abstract

Remember Mother's Message is the title of Padi Reborn's video clip in socializing health protocols to prevent transmission of Covid-19. This video clip was uploaded on the Youtube channel of the National Disaster Management Agency. In this study, researchers explored the meaning of mother in the context of its use to change people's behavior by wearing masks, washing hands with soap and keeping their distance. This study uses a qualitative approach with a constructivist paradigm. By using Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotic analysis the researcher examines the messages that are focused on linguistic messages or in the form of words and sentences, and the visual meanings in the video clips that are visible at the level of actual meaning that can be directly understood from the images and messages in the song 'Remember Message Mother ”. After examining the contents of the video clip, the researcher examined it with Susanne K. Langer's symbol theory. From the study of human concepts in viewing things, researchers generate symbols or groups of working symbols by connecting a general concept of ideas, patterns, and shapes (Littlejohn & Karen, 2009). Susanne Langer argues that the concept of meaning is mutually agreed upon among communicators. Through this symbolization, the researcher explores how Mother's Message becomes an important message so that it is embedded as the title in this video clip. The Covid-19 Task Force uses the theory of two stages of communication so that 3M's health protocols can be easily accepted by the public by collaborating with Padi Reborn to create and perform this song with lyrics containing 3M's health protocols. To reinforce the message in this song, the Covid-19 Handling Task Force packaged it into the narrative Remember Mother's Message which later became the title track of this video clip. The mother in this poem becomes an individual who is trusted as a messenger as well as the understanding of the figure of a mother in life in Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that the narrative of Mother's Message is important in disseminating information regarding the 3M protocol to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 in the midst of a pandemic. Video klip ini diungga dalam kanal Youtube Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti mendalami makna Ibu dalam konteks pengunaanya untuk mengubah perilaku masyarakat menjalankan mengenakan masker, mencuci tangan dengan sabun dan menjaga jarak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivis. Dengan menggunakan Analisis semiotika Ferdinand De Saussure peneliti memeriksa pesan yang difokuskan adalah terkait pesan linguistik atau dalam bentuk kata dan kalimat, dan makna visual dalam video klip yang terlihat dalam tataran makna yang sebenarnya yang dapat langsung dipahami dari gambar dan pesan dalam lagu ‘Ingat Pesan Ibu”.Setelah memeriksa isi video klip tersebut, peneliti memeriksanya dengan Teori simbol Susanne K. Langer. Dari penelaahan terhadap konsep manusia dalam memandang suatu hal, peneliti memunculkan simbol atau sekumpulan simbol bekerja dengan menghubungkan sebuah konsep ide umum, pola, dan bentuk (Littlejohn & Karen, 2009). Susanne Langer berpendapat konsep dalam makna yang disepakati bersama diantara para pelaku komunikasi. Melalui simbolisasi ini peneliti mengupas bagaimana Pesan Ibu menjadi pesan yang penting sehingga disematkan sebagai judul dalam video klip ini. Penggunaan teori dua tahap komunikasi digunakan oleh Satgas Penanganan Covid 19 agar protokol kesehatan 3M dapat diterima dengan mudah oleh masyarakat dengan menggandeng Padi Reborn menciptakan dan mebawakan lagu ini dengan syair yang memuat protokol kesehatan 3M. Untuk memperkuat pesan dalam lagu ini, Satgas Penanganan Covid-19 mengemas dalam narasi Ingat Pesan Ibu yang kemudian menjadi judul lagu video klip ini. Ibu dalam syair ini menjadi individu yang dipercaya sebagai pembawa pesan sebagaimana pemahaman sosok Ibu dalam kehidupan di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa narasi Pesan Ibu menjadi penting dalam menyebarkan informasi terkait protokol 3M untuk mencegah penularan Covid-19 di tengah terjadinya pandemi.
