Abstract

One of the determinants of organizational performance is job satisfaction. Job satisfaction is a factor that is very complex because it is influenced by various factors, including leadership. Leadership behavior in the Directorate of Objection and Appeal reflect transformational leadership and transactional leadership. This study aimed to investigate the influence of transformational leadership and transactional leadership as independent variables by partial or simultaneously on employee satisfaction as the dependent variable. The research method is through a questionnaire to employees in the Directorate of Objection and Appeal. Measurement of variables using Likert scale, the lowest score is the score one score and highest score is five.Testing hypotheses using multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS version 16. The results of this study indicate that the whole hypothesis was confirmed. First hypothesis, namely transformational leadership and transactional leadership simultaneously have positive and significant impact on job satisfaction of employees in the Directorate of Objection and Appeal. The second hypothesis is partially transformational leadership has positive and significant impact on job satisfaction of employees in the Directorate of Objection and Appeal. The third hypothesis is partially transactional leadership have positive and significant impact on job satisfaction of employees in the Directorate of Objection and Appeal.Salah satu faktor penentu kinerja organisasi adalah kepuasan kerja. Kepuasan kerja merupakan faktor yang sangat kompleks karena dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, diantaranya kepemimpinan. Perilaku kepemimpinan di Direktorat Keberatan dan Banding mencerminkan kepemimpinan transformasional dan kepemimpinan transaksional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional dan kepemimpinan transaksional sebagai variabel bebas secara parsial maupun simultan terhadap kepuasan kerja pegawai sebagai variabel terikat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah melalui kuesioner terhadap pegawai di Direktorat Keberatan dan Banding. Pengukuran variabel menggunakan skala likert, nilai terendah adalah skor satu dan nilai tertinggi adalah skor lima. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan SPSS versi 16. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa seluruh hipotesis terbukti. Hipotesis pertama yaitu kepemimpinan transformasional dan kepemimpinan transaksional secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja pegawai di Direktorat Keberatan dan Banding. Hipotesis kedua yaitu kepemimpinan transformasional secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja pegawai di Direktorat Keberatan dan Banding. Hipotesis ketiga yaitu kepemimpinan transaksional secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja pegawai di Direktorat Keberatan dan Banding.
