Abstract
ABSTRAK. Proses distribusi Outbound Logistic PT. Caterpillar Indonesia masih kurang optimal disebabkan masih banyaknya pemborosan (waste). Metode Value Stream Mapping sebagai salah satu alat dalam Lean Manufacturing digunakan untuk memetakan proses distribusi yang ada dan mengidentifikasi proses yang mengandung pemborosan sehingga pemborosan yang ada bisa dihilangkan. Keunggulan VSM yaitu dapat memvisualisasikan aliran proses Value Added (VA) dan Non Value Added (NVA). Pada penelitian ini tools Seven Waste juga digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi pemborosan (waste). Berdasarkan hasil analisis, didapatkan beberapa waste berupa penumpukan inventories, waktu menunggu material untuk didistribusikan dan pergerakan yang tidak diperlukan yang memperpanjang waktu distribusi. Output dari penelitian ini adalah terjadinya penurunan pengurangan cycle time proses Unbox and Kit H2K sebesar 10 menit atau terjadi perubahan sebesar 2.78 %, proses Unbox and Kit Hose sebesar 26 menit atau terjadi perubahan sebesar 7.93 %, proses Unbox and Kit Medium Parts sebesar 31 menit atau terjadi perubahan sebesar 9.04 %, proses Unbox and Kit Heavy Parts sebesar 10 menit atau terjadi perubahan sebesar 3.09 %. Selain itu juga terjadi pengurangan non value added time proses Unbox and Kit Hose dan proses Unbox and Kit Medium Parts sebesar 1440 menit menit atau terjadi perubahan sebesar 50,00 %. Distribution Outbound Logistic process PT Caterpillar Indonesia is still less than optimal due to the large number of waste. Value Stream Mapping Methode as one tool in Lean Manufacturing is used to map an existing distribution process and identification process containing the waste so that the existing waste can be eliminated. The advantage of VSM is able to visualize the flow of process Value Added (VA) and Non-Value Added (NVA). On this research, tools Seven Waste is also used for identification waste. Based on the results of the analysis, it brings some waste such as buildup of inventories, time waiting for material to be distributed and the unnecessary movement that can extend the time of distribution. The output of this research is the reduction of cycle time decline process Unbox and Kit H2K as much as 10 minutes or there is a change of 2.78%, Unbox and Kit Hose as much as 26 minutes or there is changes in the amount of 7.93%, the Unbox and Kit Medium Parts as much as 31 minutes or there is a change of 9.04%, Unbox and Kit Heavy Parts as much as 10 minutes or there is a change of 3.09%. It also happens the reduction of non value added time process Unbox and Kit Hose and process Unbox and Kit Medium Parts as much as 1440 minutes or there are changes in the amount of 50.00%.
