Abstract

Quality is an important element in today's competitive business world. Companies that are able to compete and survive are companies that have high-quality business processes and are able to meet customer desires, and are able to maintain the quality that is consistent. One method that can improve quality is Six Sigma with the DMAIC (Define, Measure Analyze, Improve, Control) stage. With the aim of determining the type of defect that has the largest percentage, determining the cause of the largest defect type and determining alternative proposals based on the DMAIC method approach. After calculating and analyzing data using the DMAIC method, it is known that the largest type of defect is Coding which has a percentage of 42% based on the calculation of the Pareto diagram then used Fish Bone Diagrams so that the known cause of the "Coding" defect is the "Human" Factor (Low work, Coding Error), Method factor (Procedure error), Machine Factor (Lack of maintenance), Material Factor (Inadequate ink material). In the Improve phase, alternative proposals are determined in the form of providing routine training to operators, scheduling for routine maintenance of machines, making KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), Gathering of employees. At the control stage it is recommended that SOPs make work instructions, and make SOPs for maintenance of coding machines. Keyword: DMAIC (Define,Measure,Analyze, Improve, Control) Kualitas merupakan suatu elemen penting dalam persaingan dunia bisnis saat ini. Perusahaan yang mampu bersaing dan bertahan adalah perusahaan yang memiliki proses bisnis yang berkualitas tinggi dan mampu memenuhi keinginan pelanggan, serta mampu menjaga kualitas yang ada agar tetap konsisten. Salah satu metode yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas yaitu Six Sigma dengan tahap DMAIC (Define, Measure Analyze, Improve, Control). Dengan tujuan menentukan jenis defect terbanyak yang memiliki persentase terbesar, menentukan penyebab jenis defect terbesar serta mementukan alternatif usulan berdasarkan pendekatan metode DMAIC. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan serta analisis data menggunakan metode DMAIC, diketahui bahwa jenis defect terbesar adalah Coding yang memiliki persentase sebesar 42% berdasarkan perhitungan diagram pareto selanjutnya digunakan Diagram Tulang Ikan sehingga diketahui penyebab terjadinya defect “Coding” adalah Faktor “Manusia” (Rendahnya kerja, Coding Error), faktor Metode (Kesalahan prosedur), Faktor Mesin (Kurangnya perawatan), Faktor Material (Bahan tinta yang kurang baik). Pada tahap Improve ditentukan alternatif usulan berupa memberikan pelatihan rutin kepada operator, membuat penjadwalan untuk maintenance rutin mesin, membuat KPI (Key Performance Indicator), Gathering karyawan. Pada tahap control disarankan agar membuat SOP instruksi kerja, dan membuat SOP pemeliharaan mesin coding. Kata Kunci : DMAIC (Define, Measure,Analyze,Improve,Control)
