Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of social support and work-family conflict on life satisfaction in working mothers. The respondents in this study were 214 respondents with the criteria of housewives who worked permanently or not permanently who were selected using the G-Power Estimate. This research instrument uses a modified and adapted measurement tool with a total of 21 items for life satisfaction (Diener and Biswas, 2008) with Cronbach's Alpha 0.924, 27 items for social support (Wang, 2018) with Cronbach's Alpha 0.927 and 16 items for work-family conflict (Greenhaus and Beutell, 1985) with Cronbach's Alpha 0.887. The results of data analysis used multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that the significance value is 0.000 <0.01 with an F value of 53.754 and the coefficient of determination is 0.338. This shows that there is the influence of social support and work-family conflict on life satisfaction in working mothers with a controbution of 33,8% with social support having the most dominant influence. Positive influence occurs on social support for life satisfaction based on the value of t 7.681 with a significance of 0.000 <0.01 , it means the higher of social support, the higher of life satisfaction. Meanwhile, work-family conflict on life satisfaction has a negative effect based on the t value of -4,302 with a significance of 0,000 <0.01 , it means that the higher of work-family conflict, the lower of life satisfaction. Keywords: Social support, work-family conflict, life satisfaction, working mothers Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh social support dan work-family conflict terhadap life satisfaction pada ibu bekerja. Responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 214 responden dengan kriteria ibu rumah tangga yang bekerja tetap maupun tidak tetap yang terpilih menggunakan G-Power Estimate. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur hasil modifikasi dan adaptasi dengan total 21 aitem untuk life satisfaction (Diener dan Biswas, 2008) dengan Cronbach’s Alpha 0,924, 27 aitem untuk social support (Wang, 2018) dengan Cronbach’s Alpha 0,927 dan 16 aitem untuk work-family conflict (Greenhaus dan Beutell, 1985) dengan Cronbach’s Alpha 0,887. Hasil analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,01 dengan nilai F = 53,754 dan dari hasil koefisien determinasi diperoleh sebesar 0,338. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh social support dan work-family conflict terhadap life satisfaction pada ibu bekerja dengan kontribusi sebesar 33,8% dengan social support memiliki pengaruh yang paling dominan.. Pengaruh positif terjadi pada social support terhadap life satisfaction berdasarkan nilai t = 7,681 dengan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,01 artinya semakin tinggi social support, semakin tinggi life satisfaction. Sedangkan work-family conflict terhadap life satisfaction memiliki pengaruh yang negatif berdasarkan nilai t = -4,302 dengan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,01 artinya semakin tinggi work-family conflict, semakin rendah life satisfaction.
