Abstract

A project is an activity that has a certain period of time with a limited allocation of resources to carry out a task that has been outlined. In construction projects, labor productivity plays a very important role in the project completion time. Although various studies show that overtime results in low productivity, its application in the field is often unavoidable. The purpose of this study was to determine the productivity of the construction project workforce during normal and overtime working hours. Data collection is carried out on a Dam Development Project by observing every workforce activity directly so that labor productivity data is obtained during normal working hours for 7 hours (08.00-16.00) and during overtime for 2 hours (16.00-18.00). The results of the study with the application of overtime for 2 hours per day will reduce productivity by 9.50% - 11.41% and an increase in workers' wages by 69.20% - 72.84%. Keywords: overtime, labor productivity, labor wages Proyek adalah suatu kegiatan yang mempunyai jangka waktu tertentu dengan alokasi sumber daya terbatas, untuk melaksanakan suatu tugas yang telah digariskan. Pada proyek konstruksi produktivitas tenaga kerja memegang peranan yang sangat penting terhadap waktu penyelesaian proyek. Meskipun berbagai penelitian penunjukkan bahwa overtime menghasilkan produktivitas yang rendah, namun penerapannya di lapangan sering kali tidak bisa dihindari. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui produktivitas tenaga kerja proyek konstruksi pada saat jam kerja normal dan overtime. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada suatu Proyek Pembangunan Bendungan dengan cara mengamati setiap aktivitas tenaga kerja secara langsung sehingga diperoleh data produktivitas tenaga kerja pada saat jam kerja normal selama 7 jam (08.00-16.00) dan pada saat overtime selama 2 jam (16.00-18.00). Hasil penelitian dengan penerapan overtime selama 2 jam perhari akan menurunkan produktivitas sebesar 9,50% - 11,41% dan kenaikan upah pekerja sebesar 69,20% - 72,84%.
