Abstract
This research was conducted to determine the satisfaction of journalists in obtaining information on a system within the organization of the Secretariat of the President of the Republic of Indonesia. To determine the effectiveness of the public relations practice of the Media and Information Press Bureau, this research was built by referring to the important elements of organizational information flow and interpersonal communication as a determining variable of organizational effectiveness in providing information services to journalists. The design of this research is explanative with a quantitative approach using survey methods, namely to explain the causal relationship that tests and analyzes the effect of variables, namely information services and personal relationships on reporter satisfaction. The results of this study indicate that information services and the level of personal relationship to reporters' satisfaction in obtaining information are proven to be jointly influential and significant and have a relationship in accordance with the hypotheses proposed in this study. Regression equation test results obtained (Y) = 2.193 + 0.167(X1) + 0.273(X2). Then, the magnitude of the results of the coefficient of determination showed RSquare 0.366 or 36.6%. From the results of these calculations, it can be said that the effect of information services and the level of personal relationships on reporters' satisfaction in obtaining information at the RI Presidential Secretariat produced is low. However, on the service side and infrastructure facilities, it became the strength of the Presidential Secretariat in an effort to establish good relations with the media. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kepuasan wartawan dalam memperoleh informasi pada suatu sistem dalam organsasi Sekretariat Presiden RI. Untuk mengetahui efektifitas praktik public relations Biro Pers Media dan Informasi, penelitian ini dibangun dengan merujuk pada elemen-elemen penting aliran informasi organisasi dan komunikasi antarpribadi sebagai variabel penentu efektifitas organisasi dalam memberikan layanan informasi terhadap wartawan. Desain penelitian ini eksplanatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan metode survei, yakni untuk menjelaskan hubungan kausal yang melakukan pengujian dan menganalisis pengaruh variabel yaitu layanan informasi dan hubungan personal terhadap kepuasan wartawan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa layanan informasi dan tingkat hubungan personal terhadap kepuasan wartawan dalam memperoleh informasi terbukti secara bersama-sama berpengaruh dan signifikan serta memiliki hubungan sesuai dengan hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil uji persamaan regresi yang diperoleh (Y) = 2.193 + 0.167(X1) + 0.273(X2). Kemudian, besaran hasil uji koefisiensi determinasi menunjukkan RSquare 0.366 atau 36.6%. Dari hasil hitung tersebut, bisa dikatakan bahwa pengaruh layanan informasi dan tingkat hubungan personal terhadap kepuasan wartawan dalam memperoleh informasi di Sekretariat Presiden RI yang dihasilkan rendah. Namun pada sisi pelayanan dan fasilitas sarana prasarana menjadi kekutan lembaga Sekretariat Presiden dalam upaya menjalin hubungan baik dengan media.
