Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between addiction to playing online games with learning motivation in student of SMK X in Kabupaten Tangerang. This research uses quantitative methods. The population of this research were students of class X and XI of SMK X in Kabupaten Tangerang totaling 589 students. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling with a sample of 238 students. The data were collected by questionnaires that have been tested for their validity and reliability. Data analysis method used is Product Moment correlation. The research results showed that: (1) The level of online game addiction students of SMK X in Kabupaten Tangerang are relatively low; (2) The level of learning motivation students of SMK X in Kabupaten Tangerang are classified as moderate; (3) There is a significant relationship between online game addiction and learning motivation, with a correlation coefficient of -0,262. Which means, if the level of online game addiction gets higher, then the level of learning motivation will be lower, and the other way around. Keyword: Game Online Addiction, Learning Motivation Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecanduan bermain game online dengan motivasi belajar pada siswa SMK X di Kabupaten Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X dan XI SMK X di Kabupaten Tangerang yang berjumlah 589 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 238 siswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Tingkat kecanduan game online siswa SMK X di Kabupaten Tangerang tergolong rendah; (2) Tingkat motivasi belajar siswa SMK X di Kabupaten Tangerang tergolong sedang; (3) Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kecanduan game online dengan motivasi belajar, dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,262. Yang artinya, jika tingkat kecanduan game online semakin tinggi, maka tingkat motivasi belajar siswa akan semakin rendah, begitu pula sebaliknya. Kata kunci: Kecanduan Game Online, Motivasi Belajar
