Abstract

This study aims to examine the Effect of Profitability, Liquidity, and Leverage on Eaarning Quality with Company Size as a Moderation Variable (Case Study on the Food and Baverage Sub-Sector Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and Bursa Malaysia 2018-2021. This study uses secondary data obtained from annual reports obtained from the Indonesian Stock Exchange and Malaysia Stock Exchange company websites. The total sampling used in this research is 88 data. The results of this study show that profitability has a significant negative effect on earning quality. Liquidity and leverage have no significant effect on earning quality. Profitability, liquidity and leverage have no effect on the earning quality with the size of the company as a moderation variable. Researchers can then develop this study by using different proxies for each variable, in order to obtain more robust results. Keywords: Profitability, Likuidity, Leverage, Firm Size, Earning Quality Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji Pengaruh Profitabilitas, Likuiditas, dan Leverage terhadap Kualitas Laba dengan Ukuran Perusahaan sebagai Variabel Moderasi (Studi Kasus pada Sub Sektor Food and Baverage yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia, dan Bursa Malaysia Tahun 2018-2021) .Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari laporan tahunan yang diperoleh dari situs website perusahaan Bursa Efek Indonesia dan Bursa Malaysia. Total sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah 88 data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan profitabilitas berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap kualitas laba. Likuiditas dan leverage tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitas laba. Profitabilitas, likuiditas dan leverage tidak berpengaruh terhadap kualitas laba dengan ukuran perusahaan sebagai variabel moderasi. Peneliti selanjutnya dapat mengembangkan studi ini dengan menggunakan proxy berbeda untuk setiap variable, agar diperoleh hasil yang lebih robust.
