Abstract

A documentary film must be able to have the style desired by the maker, this is where the role of a documentary film director is very important in making the whole concept of the story and determining the pictures to be taken, starting from the preproduction, production to post-production stages. Documentary film directors must have speed and accuracy in thinking in order to take advantage of the existing momentum and conditions so that they can express ideas in making a series of stories in the documentary film. The documentary film entitled "WHO IS JAKMANIA?" is a portrait documentary film about a Jakmania supporter group in the middle of a conflict area, Penjaringan. The group of supporters who initially had a bad image and were often cited as the cause of the unrest that occurred in public, but in fact were able to prove to the public that they able to reducing brawl conflicts that often occur in Penjaringan by utilizing the Jakmania organization. In the making of this observational type of portrait documentary, the writer acts as the director who makes the story. Even though the observational type hardly uses narrative, this film still chooses to use a little narrative as an introduction, because the form of a documentary film does not have to stand alone in a standard manner, a theme can be a combination of several forms and must enrich creativity with a visual vision that is able to highlight. an event of life as it is with attractive packaging Keywords: Documentary, Supporter, Jakmania, Penjaringan Sebuah film dokumenter harus bisa memiliki gaya yang diinginkan oleh pembuatnya, disinilah peran seorang sutradara film dokumenter menjadi sangat penting dalam membuat keseluruhan konsep cerita serta menentukan gambargambar yang akan di ambil, dimulai dari tahap pra produksi, produksi hingga paska produksi. Sutradara film dokumenter harus memiliki kecepatan dan ketepatan dalam berfikir agar bisa memanfaatkan sebuah momentum dan kondisi yang ada sehingga dapat menuangkan ide dalam membuat rangkaian cerita dalam film dokumenter. Film dokumenter yang berjudul “WHO IS JAKMANIA?” adalah film dokumenter potret tentang kelompok suporter Jakmania yang berada di tengah kawasan rawan konflik yaitu Penjaringan. Kelompok suporter yang awalnya memiliki citra kurang baik dan sering disebut sebagai penyebab keresahan yang terjadi di masyarakat, namun pada kenyataannya mampu membuktikan ke publik bahwa mereka berperan besar dalam meredam konflik tawuran yang sering terjadi di kawasan penjaringan dengan memanfaatkan organisasi Jakmania. Dalam pembuatan film dokumenter bergenre potret dengan tipe observasional ini, penulis sebagai sutradara yang melakukan pembuatan cerita. Walaupun tipe observasional hampir tidak menggunakan narasi, namun film ini tetap memilih menggunakan sedikit narasi sebagai pangantar, karena bentuk film dokumenter tidak harus berdiri sendiri secara baku, sebuah tema dapat saja merupakan gabungan dari beberapa bentuk dan harus memperkaya daya kreativitas dengan visi visual yang mampu mengetengahkan sebuah peristiwa kehidupan secara apa adanya dengan kemasan yang memikat Kata Kunci: Dokumenter, Supporter, Jakmania, Penjaringan
