Abstract
Ampel is an area in the northern part of the city of Surabaya which is known as religious tourism and has become a point of spread of Islam in Java by Walisongo. Until now, the Ampel area has become an icon of religious tourism in the city of Surabaya. From time to time, the Ampel area has grown into a nationally known religious tour. The center of the Ampel area is the Ampel Mosque, which was founded in the 15th century and has a distinctive history and architectural style. The current arrangement of the Ampel area needs refreshment by adding facilities that support tourism activities in the Ampel area. The Ampel Surabaya Religious Tourism Support Area is one of the public spaces capable of fulfilling the basic activities of human relations, namely HabluminAllah (relationship between human gods), Habluminannas (relationship between human beings), and Habluminalalamin (human relations as caliphs on earth). The basic concept of "Building Design of the Ampel Surabaya Religious Tourism Support Area" is an Islamic architectural approach. Namely presenting a natural environment, presenting functions other than worship and integrating them with worship functions, arranging layouts that make visitors remember the Creator and death, building designs that are functional and give the impression of simplicity, presenting functions for muamalah activities and social-community service functions , utilizing something that exists in that place, such as environmental potential, using natural materials and materials that are environmentally friendly, & giving an open impression. Keywords: Islamic Architecture, Ampel Mosque Ampel merupakan sebuah kawasan di bagian utara Kota Surabaya yang dikenal sebagai wisata religi serta menjadi titik persebaran islam di Jawa oleh Walisongo. Hingga saat ini Kawasan Ampel menjadi ikon wisata religi di Kota Surabaya. Dari waktu ke waktu, kawasan Ampel tumbuh menjadi wisata religi yang dikenal secara nasional. Pusat kawasan Ampel adalah Masjid Ampel, yang didirikan pada abad ke-15 yang memiliki sejarah dan gaya arsitektur yang khas. Penataan Kawasan Ampel saat ini perlu adanya penyegaran dengan menambah fasilitas-fasilitas yang mendukung kegiatan pariwisata di Kawasan Ampel. Kawasan Penunjang Wisata Religi Ampel Surabya, merupakan salah satu ruang publik yang mampu memenuhi kegiatan dasar hubungan umat manusia, yaitu HabluminAllah (hubungan antara tuhan manusia), Habluminannas (hubungan antar sesama manusia), dan Habluminalalamin (hubungan manusia sebagai khalifah di bumi). Dasar konsep “Perancangan bangunan Kawasan Penunjang Wisata Religi Ampel Surabaya“ adalah pendekatan Arsitektur Islam. Yaitu menghadirkan suasana lingkungan yang alami, menghadirkan fungsi selain peribadatan dan mengintegrasikannya dengan fungsi peribadatan, mengatur tata layout yang membuat penunjung mengingat akan sang pencipta dan kematian, desain bangunan yang fungsional serta memberi kesan kesederhanaan, menghadirkan fungsi untuk kegiatan muamallah dan fungsi pelayanan sosial-kemasyarakatan, memanfaatkan sesuatu yang ada ditempat tersebutm seperti potensi lingkungan, menggunakan material alami maupun material yang ramah lingkungan, & memberikan kesan terbuka.
