Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is the relationship between interpersonal communication and social support for burnout. In this study using quantitative methods with multiple linear regression analysis technique, sampling by accidental sampling technique, the subjects in this study found 242 adolescents with private employees in the DKI Jakarta area. In essence, work is a part of human life whose goal is to obtain appropriate and useful rewards to meet their needs. The result showed that interpersonal communication has a significant negative effect on burnout. Social support partially has no significant effect on burnout. Simultaneously the two independent variables (interpersonal communication and social support) have an influence on burnout. Keyword: Employee, burnout, interpersonal communication, social support Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara komunikasi interpersonal dan dukungan sosial terhada burnout. Penellitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi berganda, pengambilan sample dengan teknik accidental sampling, subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 242 karyawan swasta di wilayah DKI Jakarta. Pada hakikatnya bekerja merupakan bagian dari kehidupan manusia yang tujuannya adalah untuk memperoleh imbalan yang sesuai dan berguna untuk mencukupi kebutuhannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi interpersonal berpengaruh negatif yang signifikan terhadap burnout. Dukungan sosial secara parsial tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap burnout. Secara simultan kedua variable independen (komunikasi interpersonal dan dukungan sosial) memiliki pengaruh terhadap burnout. Kata Kunci : Karyawan, burnout, komunikasi interpersonal, dukungan sosial
