Abstract
The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of participation in composing budget toward managerial performance directly or through job satisfaction and job relevant information as intervening variables. The gap between the performances achieved with the budget target and the inconsistencies between results of the prior researches, about the influence of budget participation and performance become a motivation of this research. This research is a survey research which data were collected using a questionnaire distributed to all levels of manager in all branches of PT. Agricon Putra Citra Optima from Medan in Sumatra to Jayapura in Papua, both Junior Manager, Senior Manager and General Manager. From 41 questionnairesdistributed all returned and usable for analysis. The method to analyze data are path analysis and Sobel Test. The result of this research shows that budget participation has positive and significant influence to performance. Budget participation has a relationship with the performance through job satisfaction. However, budget participation has no influence to job relevant information. This research could not prove that job relevant information is an intervening variable between budget participation and performance.
