Abstract
The mosque is a place of worship for Muslims, also the center of life of the Muslim community. Holidays celebrations, discussions, religious studies, and lectures are mostly held at the mosque. So that the mosque is central to the development of da'wah. DKI Jakarta is a city with indigenous Betawi tribes. Masjid Raya KH. Hasyim Asy'ari is the first grand mosque owned by the Jakarta administration. This grand mosque carries the concept of as Betawi architecture. According to the designer, this design has only been applied to the first grand mosque. This research was conducted to find out how the spatial element in the worship space gives a sacred value to the room user. By taking questionnaires to respondents who are visitors as well as users of worship space, the research results are obtained that the elements of space in this great mosque provide sacred value to worshipers' users. Keywords: Mosque, sacred value, worship space Masjid merupakan tempat ibadah umat Islam, juga merupakan pusat kehidupan komunitas muslim. Kegiatan perayaan hari besar, diskusi, kajian agama, dan ceramah banyak dilaksanakan di Masjid. Sehingga masjid menjadi sentral pengembangan dakwah. DKI Jakarta merupakan kota dengan penduduk asli Suku Betawi. Masjid Raya KH. Hasyim Asy’ari merupakan masjid raya pertama yang dimiliki pemda DKI Jakarta. Masjid raya ini mengusung konsep arsitektur Betawi. Menurut perancangnya, desain ini baru diterapkan pada masjid raya ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana elemen ruang pada ruang ibadah memberikan nilai sakral kepada pengguna ruangan. Dengan melakukan pengambilan kuisioner terhadap responden yang merupakan pengunjung sekaligus penggunan ruang ibadah, di dapatkan hasil penelitian bahwa elemen ruang pada masjid raya ini memberikan nilai sakral pada pengguna ruang ibadah.
