Abstract

Public relations has an important role in the running of a work activity in government and the private sector or organizations in government, namely as a bridge connecting communication, both internally and externally and also fostering relationships with the mass media to the public. which in turn will have an influence on the success or failure of the organization. Public relations within an agency / organization / company must also create good communication between the public outside or within the company. Good communication will also have an impact on the success of an organization. Because communication is the main thing in creating a positive image to society. The concept used by the researcher refers to the concept of the Public Relations Management process put forward by Scott M. Cutlip, M Allen H. Center and Glen M. Broom from In order to develop a PR strategy in Enhancing Organizational Image through 4 stages of the retalions process such as: fact finding, Planning-decision, Communication-action, Evaluation. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods for the case study strategy. Researchers found that DPD RI public relations have carried out various PR strategies in improving the image of the organization including by providing transparent information, company visits, exhibitions, introducing the DPD RI Organization through social media. The obstacles faced by public relations include the lack of human resources so that there is still a lack of public relations activities. Keywords: Public Relations Activities, Public Relations, Building Image Humas atau public relations mempunyai peran penting dalam berlangsungnya suatu kegiatan kerja di dalam pemerintahan dan swasta ataupun organisasi di pemerintahan yaitu sebagai jembatan penghubung komunikasi, baik secara internal ataupun eksternal dan juga membina hubungan dengan media massa terhadap public. yang pada akhirnya akan memberikan pengaruh terhadap kesuksesan atau kegagalan organisasi. Humas didalam suatu instansi/organisasi/perusahaan juga harus menciptakan komunikasi yang baik antara publik diluar ataupun didalam perusahaan komunikasi yang baik akan berdampak juga pada kesuksesan.kegagalan suatu organisasi. Karena komunikasi adalah hal utama dalam menciptakan suatu citra yang positif kepada masyarakat. Konsep yang digunakan oleh peneliti mengacu pada konsep proses Manajemen Public Relations yang dikemukakan oleh Scott M. Cutlip, M Allen H. Center dan Glen M. Broom dari Dalam rangka menyusun strategi Humas dalam Membangun Citra Organisasimelalui 4 tahap proses Retalions seperti: fact finding, Planning-decision, Communication- action, Evaluation. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif untukdengan strategi studi kasus.Peneliti menemukan bahwa humas DPD RI telah melakukan berbagai strategi Humas dalam membangun citra organisasi diantaranya dengan memberikan informasi yang transparan, kunjungan(company visit), pameran, memperkenalkan Organisasi DPD RI melalui medsos. Hambatan-hambatan yang dihadapi humas diantaranya kurangnya SDM sehingga masih kurangnya kegiatan-kegiatan ke-Humasan. Kata Kunci : Aktivitas Humas, Public Relations, Membangun Citra
