Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of grit and mindset on quality of life in psychology students at the University of Mercu Buana Regular II Jakarta. This research was conducted on 254 subjects. Sampling is done by accidental sampling technique. The hypothesis in this study is quality of life (QOL) is influenced by Grit and Mindset. Data collection is done by dividing 3 questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability which consists of the Grit (Grit O Scale) questionnaire, Mindset (Dweck Scale), and Quality of Life (WHOQOL-BREF). This research method is a quantitative study using regression analysis techniques, after testing the two variables, the determination coefficient value or R squared is 0.280 which shows that grit and mindset influence 28.0% contribution to quality of life in regular Mercu Buana University Psychology students II Jakarta. Keywords: Grit, Mindset, Quality of life, Students Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran grit dan mindset terhadap kualitas hidup pada mahasiswa psikologi Universitas Mercu Buana reguler II Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilakukan tehadap 254 subjek. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik accidental sampling. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitas hidup (QOL) dipengaruhi oleh Grit dan Mindset. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan membagi 3 kuisioner yang sudah diuji validitas an reabilitasnya yang terdiri dari kuisioner Grit (Grit O Scale), Mindset (Dweck Scale), dan Kualitas hidup (WHOQOL-BREF). Metode Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi, setelah dilakukan pengujian terhadap kedua variabel maka diperoleh nilai koefisien determinasi atau R squared sebesar 0.280 yang menunjukkan bahwa grit dan mindset memberi pengaruh kontribusi sebesar 28.0% terhadap kualitas hidup pada mahasiswa psikologi Universitas Mercu Buana reguler II Jakarta.
