Abstract
The purpose of the study is to improve the production process by eliminating waste in the drying papper bag where the process takes 7 days. Lean manufacturing methods used is Value Stream Mapping, to identify waste in the process and Value Stream Analysis Tools (VALSAT) to select the mapping tools are used in the analysis of the waste. Based on the results of the identification of the waste, the waste was found dominant is activity waste waiting with waiting time 10200 seconds. Tools used to repair VALSAT waste this is PAM (Process Activity Mapping), and based on the analysis of PAM obtained 4% of processes included in Value Added, 68% in the Non Value Added and 28% belong to the Necessary Non Value Added. Based on the analysis of the results obtained as a dominant factor in the most influential method used at the time the process of drying. Of these factors then the surveyors laid out the repair in the dominant part there is waste, which obtained a percentage of Value Added increased to 6%, the percentage of Non Value Added be 56% and the percentage Necessary Non Value Added be reduced 37%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki proses produksi dengan mengeliminasi waste pada bagian drying papper bag dimana proses tersebut memakan waktu 7 hari. Metode lean manufacturing yang digunakan adalah Value Stream Mapping, untuk identifikasi waste pada proses dan Value Stream Analysis Tools (VALSAT) untuk memilih mapping tools yang digunakan dalam analisis waste. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi waste, ditemukan waste dominan yaitu aktivitas waste waiting dengan waktu tunggu 10200 detik. Tools VALSAT yang digunakan untuk perbaikan waste ini adalah PAM (Process Activity Mapping), dan berdasarkan analisis PAM didapatkan 4% proses termasuk ke dalam Value Added, 68% termasuk ke dalam Non Value Added dan 28% termasuk ke dalam Necessary Non Value Added. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut didapatkan faktor dominan yang paling berpengaruh yaitu metode yang digunakan pada saat proses drying. Dari faktor tersebut maka dirancanglah perbaikan di bagian yang dominan terdapat waste,dimana didapatkan presentase Value Added bertambah menjadi 6%, presentase Non Value Added menjadi 56% dan presentase Necessary Non Value Added bekurang menjadi 37%.
