Abstract

Quality improvement is very important for companies in order to improve customer satisfaction. A product with a good design, quality, after sales service, is a few benchmarks for customer satisfaction. If any defective product is received by the consumer, it will reduce the value of customer satisfaction. For that it takes effort to continuously improve the quality. One of the tools or methods to analyze and improve quality problems is QC seven tools. QC Seven Tools method is used to analyze and improve the quality problems that occur in the market, the problem was door foam shrinkage of refrigerator product. Result of analysis of door foam shrinkage problem with QC seven tools method obtained 6 root causes that is high rate of shrinkage urethane material, less amount urethane material, low density urethane, output charging shape of urethane material uneven, low jig temperature and insufficient air vent hole of inner door. Others method also used that are of statistical analysis are using SEM PLS software with Smart PLS. The results of the analysis of Smart program PLS gained 2 significant cause of material indicator Low Polyurethane (MP) and Low jig (TJ) temperature. Smart PLS analysis results according to the method of QC seven tools, indicating that the statistical analysis can be applied to analyze the quality problems in the company so that it becomes faster and effective. The results of research can reduce the market defect from 0076% to 0.002% or decrease 97.47%. Keywords: Market Defects, Door Foam Shrinkage, QC Seven Tools, SEM PLS Perbaikan dan peningkatan kualitas adalah hal sangat penting bagi perusahaan untuk meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan. Produk dengan desain yang bagus, kualitas dan purna jual produk yang baik, adalah beberapa tolok ukur untuk kepuasan pelanggan. Diperlukan upaya terus menerus untuk memperbaiki kualitas dengan berbagai metode. Salah satu metode untuk menganalisa dan memperbaiki masalah kualitas adalah dengan metode QC seven tools. Metode ini pula yang dipergunakan untuk menganalisa dan memperbaiki masalah kualitas di market yaitu door foam shrinkage di produk lemari es. Diperoleh 6 penyebab dominan yaitu tingkat susut material yang tinggi, kurang isi material urethane, density urethane rendah, keluaran material urethane dipanel tidak rata, temperatur jig rendah dan kurang jumlah lubang ventilasi di inner door. Metode lain yang digunakan adalah dengan analisa statistik SEM PLS dengan software smart PLS. Hasil analisa SEM PLS diperoleh 2 penyebab signifikan yaitu indikator material polyurethane (MP) rendah dan temperatur jig (TJ) rendah. Metode SEM PLS sesuai dengan metode QC seven tools, menunjukkan bahwa analisa statistik bisa diterapkan untuk menganalisa masalah kualitas di perusahaan sehingga menjadi lebih cepat dan efektif. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menurunkan market defect dari 0.076% menjadi 0.002% atau sebesar 97.47%. Kata kunci: Market Defect, Door Foam Shrinkage, QC Seven Tools, SEM PLS
