Abstract

The decline in the growth of the chemical manufacturing industry sector characterized by decrease in volume production, decrease in the level of productivity and the ability of human resources to contribute to GDP. This cannot be separated from un-optimaly human resources management, especially organizational performance due to lack of competitive advantage. The results from pre survey and literature study found four variables were used as predictors of competitive advantage and organizational performance, namely competence, knowledge management, social capital and organizational culture using 34 indicators. The conceptual model built in this study is called the green competitive advantage which integrates six grand theories, middle and applied of each variable. The study was conducted in the chemical manufacturing industry sector in Banten Province by using the SEM-PLS analysis method in 7 site manufacturer chemical by using 177 respondents who have positions as managers. The results of outer analysis show that 34 indicators have convergent validity values above 0.70; average variance extracted above 0.50; discriminant validity which shows a higher loading factor than the cross loading value, composite reliability above 0.70 and Cronbach Alpha above 0.60. These results indicate the validity and good reliability of the model built. The results of the inner analysis model obtained positive path coefficient, R2 competitive advantage at 0.769 and R2 organizational performance at 0.792; Q2 is 0.526 and the GoF index is 0.723; These results indicate the model has a good Goodness of Fit. Significance test results on 9 hypotheses showed that all hypotheses were accepted with each T-Statistic value above 1.96. The competitive advantage variable also succeeded in mediating each relationship between the predictor variable and the organizational performance variable. Keywords: Competence, Knowledge Management, Social Capital, Organizational Culture, Competitive Advantage, Organizational Performance, Chemical Manufacturing Industry Sector Penurunan pertumbuhan sektor industri manufaktur kimia yang ditandai dengan menurunnya volume produksi, menurunnya tingkat produktivitas dan kemampuan sumber daya manusia ikut berdampak terhadap tingkat pertumbuhan ekonomi Nasional. Hal ini tidak dapat dilepaskan dari tidak maksimalnya pengelolaan sumber daya manusia, khususnya kinerja organisasi akibat kurangnya keunggulan bersaing. Hasil pra survey dan studi literatur ditemukan empat variabel yang dijadikan prediktor keunggulan bersaing dan kinerja organisasi yaitu kompetensi, manajemen pengetahuan, modal sosial dan budaya organisasi dengan menggunakan 34 indikator. Konseptual model yang dibangun pada penelitian ini disebut sebagai green competitive advantage yang mengintegrasikan enam grand teori, middle dan applied dari masing-masing variabel. Penelitian dilakukan pada 7 perusahaan manufaktur kimia di Provinsi Banten dengan menggunakan metode analisis SEM-PLS terhadap 177 responden yang memiliki posisi sebagai manajer. Hasil outer analisis menunjukan ke 34 indikator memiliki nilai validitas konvergen diatas 0,70; average variance extracted di atas 0,50; discriminant validity yang menunjukan loading faktor lebih tinggi dibanding nilai cross loadingnya, composite reliability diatas 0,70 dan Alpha Cronbach diatas 0,60. Hasil ini menunjukan validitas dan reliabilitas yang baik dari model yang dibangun. Hasil inner model analisis didapatkan koefisien jalur bernilai positif, R2 keunggulan bersaing sebesar 0,769 dan R2 kinerja organisasi sebesar 0,792; Q2 sebesar 0,526 serta GoF index sebesar 0,723; hasil tersebut menunjukan model memiliki Goodness of Fit yang baik. Hasil uji signifikansi terhadap 9 hipotesis menunjukan seluruh hipotesis diterima dengan masing-masing nilai T-Statistik di atas 1,96. Variabel keunggulan bersaing juga berhasil memediasi masing-masing hubungan antara variabel prediktor dan variabel kinerja organisasi.
