Abstract
The development of industrial world will always have competition. Consumer satisfaction is the main factor that can determine the victory in the competition in the industrial world. Consumer satisfaction can be achieved one of them by maintaining the quality of the resulting product. This is the basis PT BASF to improve quality. This study focused on reducing the level of foam in the Acronal 7599 product that occurs in the process of vacumcooling by the DMAIC method: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control, - various statistical tools and other process improvement approaches. From production data for the period of December 2017 to February 2018 there is off-spec product caused by high foam level. Based on the research results obtained DPMO of 33.248 with sigma value 3.3. From the analysis of Fishbone Diagram and FMEA obtained the cause of high foam level, namely: inaccurate level sensors, hot vacuum pump, the existence of technical variations and HE dirty products. Keywords: DMAIC, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, Quality, Six Sigma Perkembangan dunia industri akan selalu terdapat persaingan. Kepuasan konsumen menjadi faktor utama yang mampu menentukan kemenangan dalam persaingan di dunia industri. Kepuasan konsumen dapat diraih salah satunya dengan menjaga kualitas produk yang dihasilkan. Hal inilah yang mendasari PT BASF untuk terus melakukan perbaikan kualitas. Penelitian ini difokuskan untuk mengurangi tingkat busa pada prodduk Acronal 7599 yang terjadi pada proses vacumcooling dengan metode DMAIC, yaitu: Define (merumuskan), Measure (mengukur), Analyze (menganalisa), Improve (memperbaiki) dan Control (mengendalikan), yang menggabungkan bermacam – macam perangkat statistik serta pendekatan perbaikan proses yang lainnya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh DPMO sebesar 33.248 dengan nilai sigma 3,3. Dari analisa Fishbone Diagram dan FMEA di dapat penyebab dari tingkat busa tinggi, yaitu: sensor level yang tidak akurat, pompa vakum panas, adanya variasi teknik dan HE produk yang kotor.
