Abstract
PT. Makoto Jaya Abadi adalah perusahaan bergerak dalam bidang metal industri, dimana prosesnya terdapat proses stamping press dan welding. Sebagai perusahaan industri stamping press harus memperhatikan kualitas dari yang dihasilkan, salah satu departemen yang terkait untuk mempertahankan dari produk yang dihasilkan adalah departemen produksi press. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan pada bulan Oktober 2009 didapatkan bahwa Body Pipe 1-2 3C1 memiliki persentase cacat rata-rata terbesar dibandingkan produk lainnya. Penerapan metode PDCA–8 Langkah merupakan pemecahan untuk menurunkan tingkat cacat yang terjadi. Tahap-tahap yang dilalui yaitu penentuan tema, menganalisa permasalahan yang ada, menentukan target, merencanakan tindakan perbaikan, melakukan proses perbaikan, evaluasi, standarisasi dan yang terakhir adalah merencanakan tindakan perbaikan selanjutnya. Kata kunci : PDCA, 8 Langkah PT. Makoto Jaya Abadi is companies to move in the field of metal industrial, Where is the process found process stamping press and Welding. As industrial company stamping press must pay attention quality from that produced, One of the related department to defends from product that produced production department press. Based on watchfulness that done in October 2009 got that Body Pipe 1-2 3C1 has biggest average defect percentage has been compared another product. PDCA method applications - 8 steps are solution to demote defect level that happened. Stages that passed that is theme determination, Analyzing existing troubleshoot, Determining target, Planning repair action, Doing repair process, Evaluation, Standardization and Last is plan repair action furthermore.
