Abstract
This study purpose to explore the effect of workload and job stress on employee job satisfaction and performance at PT. Permata Prima Teknologi. The study is based on observations of declining employee performance over the past three years, along with preliminary survey findings that revealed job dissatisfaction, workloads that exceed job descriptions, and mismatches between work and employee capabilities. At PT. Permata Prima Teknologi, there are several issues including low work quality standards among some employees, and a lack of full dedication from others. The method applied is quantitative through a questionnaire-based survey. The study population consisted of all 42 employees. The selected sample covers the entire population, namely 42 employees, with the application of saturated sampling techniques and data analysis using SEM PLS through Smart-PLS 4.0 software. The analysis findings indicate that workload and job stress have a significant negative effect on job satisfaction; workload shows a significant positive impact on employee performance; job stress produces a significant negative effect on employee performance; and job satisfaction has a positive and significant impact on employee performance. These results indicate that organizations are required to manage workloads in a balanced manner, while implementing effective stress management programs to improve job satisfaction, which ultimately can strengthen employee quality and productivity. This study is predicted to become a reference for companies in formulating choises related to more effective and efficient human resource management. Keywords: Workload, Job Stress, Job Satisfaction, Employee Performance Riset ini dimaksudkan guna mengeksplorasi dampak beban kerja serta stres kerja pada tingkat kepuasan kerja dan performa karyawan pada PT. Permata Prima Teknologi. Penelitian tersebut didasarkan pada observasi penurunan performa karyawan selama tiga tahun belakangan, disertai temuan survei pendahuluan yang mengungkap ketidakpuasan kerja, beban tugas yang melampaui deskripsi pekerjaan, serta ketidaksesuaian pekerjaan dengan kapabilitas karyawan. Di PT. Permata Prima Teknologi, terdapat sejumlah isu yang mencakup rendahnya standar kualitas kerja di kalangan sebagian karyawan, serta kurangnya dedikasi penuh dari sebagian pekerja lainnya. Pendekatan yang diterapkan bersifat kuantitatif melalui survei berbasis kuesioner. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari keseluruhan karyawan sebanyak 42 individu. Sampel yang dipilih mencakup semua populasi tersebut, yakni 42 pegawai, melalui penerapan metode sampel jenuh dan analisis data menggunakan SEM PLS melalui perangkat lunak Smart-PLS 4.0. Perolehan riset merepresentasikan bahwasanya beban kerja serta stres kerja berpengaruh negatif yang signifikan pada kepuasan kerja; beban kerja menunjukkan dampak positif yang signifikan pada performa pegawai; stres kerja menghasilkan efek negatif yang signifikan pada performa pegawai; serta kepuasan kerja memengaruhi performa karyawan secara positif dan signifikan. Hasil ini menandakan bahwa organisasi diperlukan untuk mengatur beban kerja secara seimbang, sekaligus mengimplementasikan program pengelolaan stres yang efektif guna menambah kepuasan kerja, hingga dapat memperkuat kualitas serta produktivitas karyawan. Riset ini dikehendaki mampu berfungsi sebagai referensi organisasi guna menyusun keputusan terkait pengelolaan sumber daya manusia yang lebih efektif dan efisien.
