Abstract

Corona Virus or Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) is a virus that attacks the respiratory system. The disease caused by this viral infection is called COVID-19. Corona virus can cause mild disorders of the respiratory system, severe lung infections, and even death. Corona is a new type of coronavirus that is transmitted to humans. This has made several countries implement policies to impose lockdowns in order to prevent the spread of the Corona virus. In Indonesia itself, a Large-Scale Social Restriction (PSBB) policy was implemented to suppress the spread of this virus. In connection with these regulations, all activities are carried out at home, one of which is teaching and learning activities. To reduce the increase in the Corona virus, all teaching and learning activities must be carried out online or without face to face on the spot. All levels of education are forced to find ways to keep teaching and learning activities going. The right way is to use information technology such as e-learning. The e-learning facilities provided by this university have been maximally used. The internet media used is E-Mail, E-mail is often used by Broadcasting students to send some assignments given by UMB Jakarta lecturers. With E-Mail, it is easier for students and lecturers to interact indirectly or remotely in the midst of this pandemic. The results of this study can be seen that the use of internet email media has a large impact and functional value. It can be seen from the usage in the attachment when the POST experienced an error, the lecturer redirected to email, this is because every system will definitely have improvements to keep the system working properly, as a result, in maintaining the system, reliable email is used to help support the system, so that when viewed from the results of research lectures from a distance during this pandemic it can be adapted and become the right solution in its use. Keywords: Pandemic, E – Learning, E – Mail. Virus Corona atau Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus(SARS-CoV-2) adalah virus yang menyerang sistem pernapasan. Penyakit karena infeksi virus ini disebut COVID-19. Virus Corona bisa menyebabkan gangguan ringan pada sistem pernapasan, infeksi paru-paru yang berat, hingga kematian.Corona adalah jenis baru dari coronavirus yang menular ke manusia. Hal tersebut membuat beberapa negara menerapkan kebijakan untuk memberlakukan lockdown dalam rangka mencegah penyebaran virus Corona. Di Indonesia sendiri, diberlakukan kebijakan Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB) untuk menekan penyebaran virus ini. Sehubungan dengan adanya peraturan tersebut membuat seluruh aktifitas dilakukan di rumah salah satunya ialah aktivitas kegiatan belajar mengajar. Untuk mengurangi peningkatan virus Corona seluruh kegiatan belajar mengajar harus dilakukan secara online atau tanpa melakukan tatap muka di tempat. Semua lapisan pendidikan dengan terpaksa harus mencari cara agar kegiatan belajar mengajar terus berjalan. Cara yang tepat ialah memanfaatkan teknologi informasi seperti e – learning. Fasilitas e-learning yang disediakan oleh univesitas ini sudah maksimal digunakan. Media internet yang digunakan adalah E-Mail, E-mail sering kali digunakan para mahasiswa Broadcasting untuk mengirimkan beberapa tugas yang diberikan oleh dosen UMB Jakarta. Dengan adanya E-Mail, mahasiswa dan dosen lebih mudah berinteraksi secara tidak langsung atau jarak jauh ditengah pandemi ini. Hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa pemakaian media internet email memiliki dampak dan nilai fungsi yang besar. Bisa dilihat dari penggunan yang ada pada lampiran saat POST mengalami error dosen menalihkan ke email, hal tersebut dikarenakan setiap sistem pasti akan ada perbaikan untuk menjaga sistem tetap bekerja dengan baik, alhasil dalam pemeliharaan sistem tersebut makan email yang dapat diandalkan dalam membantu menunjang sistem tersebut, sehingga jika dilihat dari hasil penelitian perkuliahan dari jarak jauh pada masa pendemi ini dapat daitasi dan menjadi solusi yang tepat dalam penggunaannya.
