Abstract
The documentary Punk Football Indonesia: Collective & Friendship highlights the phenomenon of supporter resistance against the commercialization of football through the community-based Punk Football movement. This documentary focuses on the pioneering club Riverside Forest and other collectives that uphold the values of solidarity, friendship, and independence as an alternative to the dominance of the modern football industry. This work is built upon the theoretical foundations of mass communication, film as a medium, and the concept of Punk Football, combined with references to similar documentaries. The film is positioned not only as a form of entertainment but also as an educational medium, a reflection, and a visual archive of grassroots resistance. Using an expository approach, the documentary delivers factual narratives through interviews, observations, archival footage, and voice-over. The production process includes pre-production, production, and post-production stages, with the director playing a crucial role in shaping the storyline, communication strategies, and solutions to both technical and non-technical challenges. The final result demonstrates that this documentary serves as an effective communication medium to voice alternative values of football. It is expected to inspire similar movements, strengthen supporter solidarity, and reaffirm that football essentially belongs to the people, not merely as a commodity of industry. Keywords: Punk Football, Documentary, Directing, Commercialization of Football, Supporter Solidarity Film dokumenter Punk Football Indonesia - “Collective & Friendship” merupakan film yang mengangkat fenomena perlawanan suporter terhadap komersialisasi sepak bola melalui gerakan Punk Football yang berbasis komunitas. Dokumenter ini menyoroti klub pionir Riverside Forest dan komunitas lain yang menjunjung nilai solidaritas, persahabatan, serta kemandirian sebagai alternatif dari dominasi industri sepak bola modern. Karya ini dibangun dengan landasan teori komunikasi massa, film sebagai media, serta konsep Punk Football yang dipadukan dengan referensi dokumenter sejenis. Film tidak hanya diposisikan sebagai hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai media edukasi, refleksi, sekaligus arsip visual atas gerakan perlawanan akar rumput. Dengan pendekatan gaya eksposisi, dokumenter menghadirkan narasi faktual melalui wawancara, observasi, arsip visual, dan voice over. Proses produksi meliputi tahap pra-produksi, produksi, dan pasca-produksi, di mana sutradara berperan penting mengarahkan alur cerita, strategi komunikasi, dan solusi atas kendala teknis maupun non-teknis. Hasil akhirnya menunjukkan bahwa dokumenter ini mampu menjadi media komunikasi efektif yang menyuarakan nilai alternatif sepak bola. Karya ini diharapkan dapat menginspirasi gerakan serupa, memperkuat solidaritas antar suporter, serta menegaskan kembali bahwa sepak bola sejatinya milik rakyat, bukan semata komoditas industri.
