Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of role conflict and self-control on cyberloafing, with work stress as a mediating variable among employees of the Regional Financial and Asset Agency (BKAD) of the Riau Islands Province. The sampling technique used was a census or saturated sampling method, involving a total of 94 respondents. The analytical tool employed was Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using the SmartPLS 3.0 software, with additional testing conducted using SPSS 23. The results show that role conflict has a significant effect on work stress, and work stress significantly affects cyberloafing, although role conflict does not directly affect cyberloafing. Selfcontrol does not have a significant effect on either work stress or cyberloafing. In addition, work stress is proven to fully mediate the effect of role conflict on cyberloafing, while the mediating effect on self-control is rejected. Keywords: role conflict, self control, work stress, Cyberloafing Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh role conflict dan self control terhadap cyberloafing, dengan work stress sebagai variabel mediasi pada pegawai Badan Keuangan dan Aset Daerah (BKAD) Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sensus atau sampel jenuh dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 94 pegawai. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah Partial Least Square, Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) melalui aplikasi SmartPLS 3.0 dan pengujian pendukung menggunakan SPSS 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa role conflict terbukti berpengaruh signifikan terhadap work stress, dan work stress berpengaruh signifikan terhadap cyberloafing, namun role conflict tidak berpengaruh langsung terhadap cyberloafing. Self control tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap work stress maupun cyberloafing. Selain itu, work stress terbukti memediasi secara penuh pengaruh role conflict terhadap cyberloafing, sedangkan mediasi pada self control ditolak.
