Abstract
The phenomenon of cyberbullying has emerged on the TikTok platform, causing psychological harm and damaging the reputation of victims. This reflects a lack of ethical awareness in communication on social media. The purpose of this study is to identify and understand the preventive measures taken by university students in anticipating the occurrence of cyberbullying on the TikTok social media platform. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach based on the framework of Miles and Huberman. The results show that students perceive cyberbullying as an act that causes emotional harm. Communication factors on TikTok, such as anonymity and a culture of negative commenting, contribute to the rise of cyberbullying. As a preventive effort, students have begun to be more cautious in commenting, choose positive digital environments, and engage in educational activities, reflecting their awareness of the need to create a healthier digital space. Keywords: Cyberbullying, Preventive Measures, TikTok Social Media, Communication Ethics Fenomena cyberbullying muncul di platform TikTok, memberikan dampak kondisi psikologis dan merusak reputasi korban, hal ini mencerminkan lemahnya kesadaran etika komunikasi di media sosial. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui serta memahami langkah-langkah preventif yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa dalam mengantisipasi terjadinya cyberbullying di media sosial TikTok. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif menurut Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa mahasiswa memahami cyberbullying sebagai tindakan yang menyakiti secara emosional. Faktor komunikasi di TikTok seperti anonimitas dan budaya komentar negatif turut memicu cyberbullying. Sebagai langkah preventif, mahasiswa mulai berhati-hati dalam berkomentar, memilih lingkungan digital yang positif, dan mengikuti edukasi, menunjukkan kesadaran mereka untuk menciptakan ruang digital yang lebih sehat.
