Abstract
The behavior of eating while watching has now become a common habit, this is evidenced by a study that shows 70.5% of students in DKI Jakarta eat while watching. This activity is often done as a means of entertainment, relaxation, improving the dining experience, providing a positive effect on mood, and can provide a feeling of social connection. Ria SW is one of the YouTube content creators who works in the culinary field with the most followers in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the meaning of the message of peace in the episode "Get Lost In Kichijoji" This study analyzes the message of peace in the episode "Get Lost In Kichijoji" using John Fiske's Semiotics which examines meaning through three levels, namely the level of reality, the level of representation and the level of ideology. This study uses a constructivist paradigm with a qualitative approach and descriptive methods. The subject of the study was one of Ria SW's YouTube content in the episode "Get Lost In Kichijoji". The results of the study show that in the episode "Get Lost In Kichijoji" there is a meaning of the message of peace that is analyzed at all three levels of semiotics. At the level of reality, Ria's make up, wardrobe, gestures, tone of voice, and expressions depict peace by displaying natural make up and wardrobe as well as friendly gestures, tone of voice, and expressions. At the level of representation, shooting, editing, and selection of background music depict peace by displaying eye level shooting, unique and funny editing, and selection of background music using pop ballad songs make peace even more felt in Ria's content. At the level of ideology, there is a libertarian ideology that represents a message of peace. This is proven when Ria announced her hiatus to her audience, as an individual who upholds freedom as the focus of her goals, Ria inspires her audience to respect themselves more and learn to provide more comfort for themselves. Keywords: Semiotika, John Fiske, Message of peace, Ria SW Perilaku makan sambil menonton di jaman sekarang telah menjadi kebiasaan umum, hal ini dibuktikan dari sebuah penelitian yang menunjukkan 70,5% mahasiswa di DKI Jakarta makan sambil menonton. Aktivitas ini kerap dilakukan sebagai sarana hiburan, relaksasi, meningkatkan pengalaman bersantap, memberikan efek positif pada suasana hati, serta dapat memberikan perasaan koneksi sosial. Ria SW merupakan salah satu konten kreator youtube yang bergerak di bidang kuliner dengan jumlah pengikut terbanyak di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis makna pesan kedamaian pada episode “Get Lo.st In Kichijoji” Penelitian ini menganalisis pesan kedamaian pada episode “Get Lost In Kichijoji” dengan menggunakan Semiotika John Fiske yang mengkaji makna melalui tiga level yakni level realitas, level representasi dan level ideologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitiannya adalah salah satu konten youtube Ria SW pada episode “Get Lost In Kichijoji”. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada episode “Get Lost In Kichijoji” terdapat makna pesan kedamaian yang teranalisis pada ketiga level semiotika. Pada level realitas, make up, wardrobe, gestur, nada bicara, dan ekspresi Ria menggambarkan kedamaian dengan menampilkan make up dan wardrobe yang natural serta gestur, nada bicara, dan ekspresi yang ramah dan bersahabat. Pada level representasi, pengambilan gambar, editing, serta pemilihan back sound music menggambarkan kedamaian dengan menampilkan pengambilan gambar eye level, editing yang unik dan lucu, serta pemilihan back sound yang menggunakan lagu pop ballad membuat kedamaian semakin terasa pada konten Ria. Pada level ideologi, terdapat ideologi libertarianisme yang merepresentasikan pesan kedamaian. Hal ini dibuktikan saat Ria mengumumkan perihal hiatusnya kepada audiensnya, sebagai individu yang menjunjung kebebasan sebagai fokus pada tujuannya Ria menginspirasi audiensnya untuk lebih menghargai diri sendiri dan belajar untuk lebih memberikan kenyamanan untuk diri sendiri.
