Abstract

Online communication through social media has become the main means for communities to interact, including K-Pop fans in Indonesia. One platform that has attracted attention is the @treasuremenfess autobase on X social media. This study aims to determine the motives of fans using the autobase and understand its meaning in the context of online communication. This research uses Alfred Schutz's phenomenological theory approach that focuses on two types of motives, namely because of motive and in order to motive. In addition, this study examines the theories of online communication, social media, and the concept of meaning to understand more deeply how communication that occurs in the digital space shapes the experiences and meanings felt by its users. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with five main informants who are active users of @treasuremenfess autobase, observation of activities on social media X, and additional documentation. The results show that the use of @treasuremenfess is driven by the need for an anonymous communication space, sharing information, and strengthening solidarity among fans. For Treasure Maker, this autobase has meaning as a tool that supports social interaction, provides emotional support, and allows them to obtain the latest information about their idols. Keyword : Online communication, Social Media X, Autobase, Phenomenology Komunikasi daring melalui media sosial menjadi sarana utama bagi komunitas untuk berinteraksi, termasuk bagi penggemar K-Pop di Indonesia. Salah satu platform yang menarik perhatian adalah autobase @treasuremenfess di media sosial X. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motif para penggemar menggunakan autobase tersebut dan memahami pemaknaannya dalam konteks komunikasi daring. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan teori fenomenologi Alfred Schutz yang berfokus pada dua jenis motif, yaitu because of motive dan in order to motive. Selain itu, penelitian ini mengkaji teori komunikasi daring, media sosial, dan konsep pemaknaan untuk memahami lebih dalam bagaimana komunikasi yang terjadi di ruang digital membentuk pengalaman serta makna yang dirasakan oleh penggunanya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan lima informan utama yang merupakan pengguna aktif autobase @treasuremenfess, observasi aktivitas di media sosial X, dan dokumentasi tambahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan @treasuremenfess didorong oleh kebutuhan akan ruang komunikasi yang anonim, berbagi informasi, dan memperkuat solidaritas di antara penggemar. Bagi Treasure Maker, autobase ini memiliki makna sebagai sarana yang mendukung interaksi sosial, memberikan dukungan emosional, serta memungkinkan mereka memperoleh informasi terkini mengenai idola mereka.
