Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of leadership and motivation on employee performance at PT. United Can Company. This research used survey method. Population in this research is all employees of PT. United Can Company totaling 30 employees using saturated samples. Measurement of responses of respondents to the questionnaire by using 5 levels Likert scale. The collected data is tested for consistency and accuracy of the measuring instrument through validity test, reliability test, multiple linear regression, classical assumption test, coefficient of determination, f test and t test. Results in this study (1) Adjusted Value (R²) Contribution of leadhership and motivation explain the improvement of employee performance of PT. United Can Company from Adjusted (R²) 0.598; (2) The partial-t test of the Leadership variable (X1) has a t value of 3.520 with a probability significance level of 0.002 smaller than the 0.05 significance standard. This states that the Leadhership variable (X1) has a significant effect on employee performance (Y) at PT. United Can Company; (3) The result of partial T-test of Motivation variable (X2) has t value equal to 4,324 with probability significance level 0.000 smaller than standard of significance 0,05. This states that the variable Motivation(X2) has a significant effect on job performance (Y) at PT. United Can Company; (4) The result of simultaneous test -f variable of leadership and motivation has t value equal to 22,526 with level of probability significance 0.000 less than standard of significance 0,05 which can be concluded leadhership and motivation together or simultant have significant effect to employee performance (Y) At PT. United Can Company. Keywords: leadership, motivation and job performance. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional dan motivasi terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT. United Can Company. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan PT. United Can Company yang berjumlah 30 karyawan dengan menggunakan sampel jenuh. Pengukuran tanggapan responden terhadap kuesioner dengan menggunakan 5 jenjang skala Likert. Data yang telah terkumpul diuji konsistensi dan kecermatan alat ukurnya melalui uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, regresi linier berganda, uji asumsi klasik, koefisien determinasi, uji f dan uji t. Hasil dalam penelitian ini (1) Nilai Adjusted (R²) Kontribusi kepemimpinan dan motivasi menjelaskan peningkatan kinerja karyawan PT. United Can Cmpany dari Adjusted (R²) 0,598 ; (2) Hasil uji parsial-t variabel Kepemimpinan Transformasional (X1) memiliki nilai t sebesar 3,520 dengan tingkat signifikansi probabilitas 0,002 lebih kecil dari standar signifikansi 0,05. Hal ini menyatakan bahwa variabel Kepemimpinan (X1) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (Y) pada PT. United Can Company ; (3) Hasil uji parsial-t variabel Motivasi (X2) memiliki nilai t sebesar 4,324 dengan tingkat signifikansi probabilitas 0,000 lebih kecil dari standar signifikansi 0,05. Hal ini menyatakan bahwa variabel Motivasi (X2) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (Y) pada PT. Unitd Can Company ; (4) Hasil uji simultan-f variabel kepemimpinan dan motivasi memiliki nilai t sebesar 22,526 dengan tingkat signifikansi probabilitas 0,000 lebih kecil dari standar signifikansi 0,05 yang dapat disimpulkan kepemimpinan dan motivasi bersama-sama atau simultan berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (Y) pada PT.
