Abstract

The Industry is getting more competitive, making companies begin to improve the quality of their products. Quality is one of the keys to win the competition in the industry. Awareness of the importance of maintaining quality product make the companies makes continuous improvement. PT Sankyo Indonesia is a manufacturing company that produce electric blankets. The six sigma is designed to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. Six sigma is a comprehensive approach to problem solving and process improvement through the DMAIC phases (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Based on the research, the result is sigma’s value in blanket production is 3.39σ with the highest percentage of striped defects is 25% during January – June 2021. FMEA is carried out to determine priority corrective actions by calculating the RPN value. Environmental lighting is the factor that produces the highest RPN value which is 648 rpn. So it is proposed to add a more light source, change the layout and monitor the intensity of light in the room regularly using a luxmeter. Keywords:Six Sigma, DMAIC, FMEA. Industri yang semakin kompetitif, menjadikan banyak perusahaan mulai memperbaiki kualitas produknya. Kualitas merupakan salah satu kunci dalam memenangkan persaingan industri. Kesadaran akan pentingnya menjaga kualitas produk membuat banyak perusahaan melakukan perbaikan secara terus menerus. PT Sankyo Indonesia merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur dalam pembuatan selimut elektrik. Pendekatan six sigma dirancang untuk mendorong perbaikan perbaikan berkelanjutan dalam proses manufakturing. Six sigma merupakan pendekatan menyeluruh untuk menyelesaikan masalah dan peningkatan proses melalui fase DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian nilai sigma pada proses produksi blanket sebesar 3.39σ dengan persentase defect tertinggi warna belang sebesar 25% sepanjang Januari-Juni 2021. FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analyze) dilakukan untuk menentukan tindakan prioritas perbaikan dengan menghitung nilai RPN. Pencahayaan lingkungan merupakan faktor yang menghasilkan nilai RPN tertinggi sebesar 648 rpn sehingga diusulkan penambahan sumber cahaya, melakukan perubahan tata letak dan dilakukan pemantauan intensitas cahaya ruangan secara rutin menggunakan alat Luxmeter.
