Abstract

Social media TikTok is known to be a prima donna that is very loved and attracts the interest of the public today. TikTok can be processed into an interesting and interactive learning media only through displaying content, one of which is educational content about careers on Vina Muliana's Tiktok account, which is often used as a learning platform or educational tool for viewers about careers. This study aims to determine the audience's reception analysis of educational content about careers on Vina Muliana's TikTok account. This study uses a qualitative approach with a constructivist paradigm. The theory used is Stuart Hall's encoding-decoding theory, the analytical method used is David Morley's reception analysis which is used to find out how audiences interpret a message given by the media into dominant hegemonic positions, negotiating positions, and opposition positions. The data collection technique used was in-depth interviews with seven informants. The results of the study show that audiences who view educational content about careers on Vina Muliana's TikTok can provide positive and educational messages to audiences. And it can be seen that the audience's interpretation shows the dominant results of hegemony. This means that the audience can fully accept the message conveyed in the career education content, because this educational content can educate and provide new knowledge to the audience, judging from the content that is wrapped in a light and attractive manner, it makes it easy for the audience to understand the message of the content. The negotiation interpretation was shown by the audience in research, where the audience enjoyed educational content, but there were things that were not understood in the discussion of certain educational content material. And this study found oppositional interpretations, this is shown because audiences prefer content productivity compared to educational content about careers on Vina Muliana's TikTok account. Media sosial TikTok diketahui menjadi primadona yang sangat digandrungi dan menarik minat masyarakat saat ini. TikTok dapat diolah menjadi media pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif hanya melalui tayangan konten, salah satunya konten edukasi mengenai karir pada akun Tiktok Vina Muliana, kerap kali dijadikan sebagai wadah pembelajaran atau sarana edukasi mengenai karir bagi para penonton. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui analisis resepsi pada penonton terhadap konten edukasi mengenai karir pada akun TikTok Vina Muliana. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivis. Teori yang dipakai yaitu teori encoding – decoding Stuart Hall, metode analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis resepsi David Morley yang digunakan untuk mengetahui bagaimana interpretasi khalayak dalam memaknai sebuah pesan yang diberikan media ke dalam posisi dominan hegemoni, posisi negosiasi, dan posisi oposisi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara mendalam terhadap tujuh informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa khalayak yang melihat konten edukasi mengenai karir pada TikTok Vina Muliana bisa memberikan pesan yang positif dan mengedukasi bagi khalayak. Dan terlihat interpretasi khalayak menunjukan hasil yang dominan hegemoni. Artinya khalayak bisa seutuhnya menerima pesan yang disampaikan dalam konten edukasi karir tersebut, karena konten edukasi ini bisa mengedukasi serta memberi pengetahuan baru kepada khalayak, dilihat dari konten yang dibalut dengan ringan dan menarik menjadikan khalayak mudah memahami pesan dari konten tersebut. Interpretasi negosiasi ditunjukkan khalayak dalam penelitian, dimana khalayak menikmati konten edukasi, tetapi ada hal yang kurang dipahami dalam pembahasan materi konten edukasi tertentu. Dan dalam penelitian ini ditemukan intrepretasi oposisi, hal tersebut ditunjukan karena khalayak lebih menyukai konten productivity dibandingkan konten edukasi mengenai karir pada akun TikTok Vina Muliana.
