Abstract
The Godean District area is a fast growing area. In the last 10 years, housing, small and medium industries and public facilities have sprung up in thisarea. The road conditions around the market are currently very congested everyday, especially in the morning. The area around Godean Market currently feelsvery chaotic and disorganized, especially in terms of trade circulation, parking andpublic transportation. From visual observations, it can be seen that there is anoverload of various interests in community activities, especially in the morningand afternoon. The design of the Godean Market Building is expected to have apositive impact on the surrounding environment. The application of the NeoVernacular Architecture concept aims to respond to traditional architecture that isinherent in the surrounding area. Neo Vernacular architecture was created tomodernize traditional buildings. The concept of the building is driven from theImaginary Axis for a balance between man and God, man and man and man andnature. so that the market has a different impression and makes it a safe, comfortable and healthy market. Keywords : Godean Market, Neo Vernacular Architecture, Imaginary Axis Kawasan Kecamatan Godean merupakan kawasan tumbuh cepat. Dalamkurun waktu 10 tahun terakhir kawasan tersebut banyak bermunculan perumahan, industri kecil dan menengah serta fasilitas umum. Kondisi jalan di sekitar pasar saat ini sangat padat setiap harinya terutama pagi hari. Kawasan sekitar Pasar Godean saat ini terasa sangat semrawut dan kurang teratur terutama dalamsirkulasi perdagangan, perparkiran maupun trasportasi umum. Dari pengamatanvisual terlihat overload berbagai kepentingan aktivitas masyarakat terutama padapagi dan siang hari. Perancangan Bangunan Pasar Godean ini diharapkan mampumemberikan dampak positif pada lingkungan sekitar. Penerapan konsepArsitektur Neo Vernakular bertujuan untuk merespon arsitektur tradisional yanglekat di Kawasan sekitar. Arsitektur Neo Vernakular dibuat untuk memodernisasi bangunan tradisional. Konsep pada bangunan yang terpacu dari Sumbu Imajiner untuk keseimbangan antara manusia dan tuhan, manusia dan manusia sertamanusia dan alam. sehingga pasar tersebut memiliki kesan berbeda sertamenjadikan pasar yang aman, nyaman dan sehat.
