Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between communication ability and innovative work behavior of polda banten officer. All respondents obtained were 210 people. In this study using non-probability sampling technique. The measuring tools used in this study are for communication skills using (HP-CSS) by César Leal-Costa et al (2016) and innovative work behavior using (MIWB) by De Jong and Hartog (2010). The data analysis technique through correlation in the study showed a significant negative relationship between communication skills andinnovative work behavior with a significance value of 0.875 and a correlation coefficient (r) with a value of -0.14. The results show that high communication skills do not have a relationship with the innovative work behavior of members of the Banten Regional Police, and vice versa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kemampuan komunikasi dan innovative work behaviour anggota Polda Banten dalam himbauan protokol kesehatan covid-19 kepada masyarakat di daerah hukum Polda Banten. Seluruh responden yang didapat adalah 210 orang kemudian peneliti mengambil sampel dengan menggunakan Software G*Power sehingga didapatkan sampel penelitian ini adalah 138 orang. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu, untuk kemampuan kominkasi menggunakan (HP-CSS) oleh César Leal-Costa dkk (2016) dan innovative work behavior menggunakan (MIWB) oleh De jong dan Hartog (2010). Teknik analisa data melalui korelasi pada penelitian menunjukan hasil hubungan negative yang signifikan antara kemampuan komunikasi dan innovative work behavior dengan nilai signifikasi 0,875 dan korelasi koefisien (r) dengan nilai -0,14. Hasil menunjukan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi yang tinggi maka tidak memiliki hubungan terhadap innovative work behavior anggota Polda Banten, begitu juga sebaliknya. Kata Kunci : kemampuan komunikasi, innovative work behavior, polri.
