Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between interpersonal communication skills and work innovation behavior in employees of PT. CKT. This study uses a quantitative method with 102 employees as respondents working in the fishing vessel licensing service agency in the Muara Baru Port area of Jakarta, which were taken using the purposive sampling method. De Jong and Den Hartog (2010)with Cronbach's Alpha 0.893 and 7 items for interpersonal communication (DeVito, 1997) with Cronbach's Alpha 0.833. Data analysis used non-parametric statistical tests, namely the Spearman-Rank correlation test to determine the correlation between interpersonal communication and innovative work behavior. The results showed the relationship between interpersonal communication variables and innovative work behavior, the correlation coefficient value of r = 0.822 (significance 0.000) or p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between interpersonal communication and innovative work behavior. Keywords: Work Innovation Behavior, Interpersonal Communication Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal dengan perilaku inovasi kerja pada karyawan PT. CKT. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan responden sebanyak 102 karyawan yang bekerja dibagian agent pelayanan perizinan kapal nelayan dikawasan Pelabuhan Muara Baru Jakarta,yang diambil menggunakan metode purposive sampling.Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur hasil adaptasi dan modifikasi dengan total 50 aitem untuk innovative work behavior De Jong dan Den Hartog (2010) dengan Cronbach’s Alpha 0,893 DAN 7 aitem untuk komunikasi interpersonal (Devito,1997) dengan Cronbach’s Alpha 0,833 Analisa data menggunakan uji statistik non parametrik yaitu uji korelasi Spearman-Rank untuk mengetahui korelasi antara komunikasi interpersonal dengan innovative work behavior. Hasil penelitian menunjukan hubungan antara variabel komunikasi interpersonal dan innovative work behavior nilai koefisien korelasi r = 0.822 (signifikansi 0.000) atau p = 0,000 ( p < 0,05) maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara komunikasi interpersonal dan innovative work behavior.
