Abstract

Disposable packaging is widely used in fast food restaurants and roadside vendors for practical reasons. Although considered applicable, these disposable packagings are not all safe to use. Food packaging must be adapted to the nature and needs of the type of food to be packaged. Not only from the need to secure the contents, nowadays we have to think about the sustainability of the packaging, especially for disposable packaging that is used once and then thrown away. Types of hot food require close attention to the packaging because if there is a change in temperature in the food, it will significantly affect the quality of the food. The food's temperature and condition also affect the material's strength; hot and gravy (watery) food will also affect the packaging. Material selection can affect the user's comfort in using hot food packaging. The convenience of packaging for hot food is influenced by choice of material and the shape of the packaging. Keywords: Packaging, Disposable Packaging, Hot Food Kemasan disposable saat ini banyak digunakan pada restaurant cepat saji dan pedagang pinggir jalan dengan alasan kepraktisan. Meski dinilai praktis, kemasan disposable ini tidak semuanya aman untuk digunakan. Kemasan makanan harus disesuaikan dengan sifat dan kebutuhan dari jenis makanan yang akan di kemas. Tidak hanya dari kebutuhan untuk mengamankan isinya, pada masa sekarang harus memikirkan mengenai sustainability dari kemasan tersebut, terutama pada kemasan disposable yang bersifat sekali pakai lalu di buang. Jenis makanan bersuhu panas memerlukan perhatian yang tinggi pada kemasan karena apabila terjadi perubahan suhu pada makanan tersebut akan sangat berpengaruh dengan kualitas makanan. Suhu dan kondisi makanan juga berpengaruh terhadap kekuatan material, makanan yang panas dan berkuah (berair) juga akan mempengaruhi kemasannya. Pemilihan material dapat berpengaruh pada kenyamanan pengguna dalam menggunakan kemasan makanan panas. Dalam kenyamanan kemasan untuk makanan panas dipengaruhi dari pemilihan material dan bentuk kemasan tersebut. Kata Kunci: Kemasan, Kemasan Sekali Pakai, Kemasan Disposable, Makanan Bersuhu Panas
