Abstract

ABSTRAK Perusahaan Sparepart Otomotif merupakan perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi spare part kendaraan, salah satunya muffler sepeda motor. Ketidakseimbangan lintasan pada line welding produk muffler model 2DP menyebabkan idle time operator yang tidak merata sehingga terjadi penumpukan. Penumpukan tersebut mengakibatkan tidak tercapainya target produksi sehingga lintasan tidak efisien. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis model lintasan yang lebih efisien dan meminimalisir idle time operator secara merata. Dengan menggunakan metode Ranked Positional Weight (RPW), elemen kerja dikelompokkan berdasarkan bobot kerja terbesar. Pengelompokkan tersebut dibatasi dengan waktu siklus dan takt time agar waktu stasiun dapat dimaksimalkan seefisien mungkin. Hasil dari penelitian yang diperoleh antara lain meningkatnya keseimbangan lintasan berdasarkan efisiensi lintasan, balance delay, smoothness index dan idle time. Peningkatan tersebut membuat kapasitas produksi line welding 2DP dapat memenuhi target hingga akhir tahun 2020. Kata kunci: lintasan, keseimbangan, menganggur, bobot, efisiensi ABSTRACT Sparepart Otomotif Company is a manufacturing company that build vehicle spare part, one of them is motorcycle muffler. The unbalanced line of the 2DP’s line welding causes unequal idle time of the operator, and causing bottleneck. The bottleneck cause not achieving the production target, so the line is inefficient. The purpose of this study is to analyze a more efficient line model and minimize idle time of the operator. By using the Ranking Positional Weight (RPW) method, work elements are grouped according to the largest work weight. The grouping is limited by cycle time and takt time so that station time can be maximized as efficiently as possible. The results obtained include the increase in line balance based on track efficiency, balance delay, smoothness index and idle time. This increase allows the production capacity of 2DP's line welding to meet the target by the end of 2020. Keywords: line, balancing, idle, weight, efficiency
