Abstract

The advancement of air transportation systems in Indonesia is marked by the increase and addition of airport facilities and the increasing number of people using air transport services. So that airport managers must be able to address this increase with the readiness of infrastructure or airport infrastructure in serving flight activities, especially in maintenance. which in turn will lead to the amount of load and repetition of the burden that must be borne by airport infrastructure so that a decrease in the carrying capacity of pavement is classified into a reference in the form of PCN (Pavement Classification Number), if the PCN value is smaller than the weight of the aircraft operating it needs to be done increase in PCN value. As an anticipatory measure to increase this burden, airport aerial facilities infrastructure pavement systems must always be maintained or even upgraded by means of re-coating the existing infrastructure pavement layer or redesigning existing pavement according to needs. The method used to redesign the pavement namely the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration), PCA (Portland Cement Association), and LCN (Load Classification Number) which correlate to increasing pavement carrying capacity. The thick design of rigid pavement structures that have been carried out through the FAA, PCA, and LCN methods yielded 55 cm for the FAA method, 36 cm for the PCA method and 35 for the LCN method. For the FAA method fulfills the design criteria with the value of PCN > ACN, while the PCA and LCN methods do not meet the criteria with the value of PCN < ACN, so the pavement can be replaced using rigid based on the results of the FAA method design. Keyword: FAA, PCA, and LCN methods, PCN values Majunya sistem transportasi udara di Indonesia ditandai dengan peningkatan dan penambahan fasilitas lapangan terbang dan bertambahnya masyarakat pengguna jasa angkutan udara.
