Abstract

Traffic volume is one of the causes of road damage. With the increasing number of vehicles it is possible that the road will be damaged in a relatively short time. On Jl. Prof. Dr. Latumeten the busiest vehicle traffic volume in the South-North direction is 2318.9 smp/hour and the North-South direction is 2472.55 smp/hour. The fastest vehicle speed in the South-North direction is 24.25 km/hour and the North-South direction is 24.58 km/hour. The purpose of this study was to determine the type and level of damage that occurs in the pavement structure at a level crossing on Jl. Prof. Dr. Latumeten by using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method. From the results of the field study, the types of damage found in the South-North direction are depression, edge cracking, patching, potholes, railroad crossing and weathering and reveling, with a PCI 41 value that is FAIR. And in the North-South direction are alligator cracking, bumps and sags, depression, potholes, railroad crossing and weathering and reveling, with a PCI 43 value that is FAIR. There is a relationship between volume, speed and time with the value of road damage. Effect of vehicle volume with the level of road damage and the relationship of vehicle speed with the level of road damage on the flexible pavement. So it can be predicted in advance the value of road damage that will occur, the method used in this study is the method of analyzing the volume of vehicles and the level of road damage with the regression method. Namely to get the function of the relationship with the value of R² (coefficient of determination) which shows the magnitude of the influence of changes in vehicle volume and speed variations in changes in the value of road damage. Based on the trial period that has been conducted for almost 2.5 years, according to these observations STRAIL is suitable for use in the use of new material in a level crossing facility. Keywords: Level Crossing, Latumeten, Volume, Speed, Density, PCI, STRAIL. Volume lalu lintas merupakan salah satu penyebab terjadinya kerusakan jalan. Dengan jumlah kendaraan yang semakin bertambah dimungkinkan jalan akan mengalami kerusakan dalam waktu yang relatif pendek. Pada Jl. Prof. Dr. Latumeten volume lalu lintas kendaraan tersibuk pada arah Selatan-Utara adalah 2318,9 smp/jam dan arah Utara-Selatan adalah 2472,55 smp/jam. Kecepatan kendaraan tercepat pada arah Selatan-Utara adalah 24,25 km/jam dan arah Utara-Selatan adalah 24,58 km/jam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui mengetahui jenis dan tingkat kerusakan yang terjadi pada struktur perkerasan pada perlintasan sebidang di Jl. Prof. Dr. Latumeten dengan menggunakan metode Pavement Condition Index (PCI). Dari hasil penelitian dilapangan, jenis kerusakan yang terdapat pada arah Selatan-Utara adalah amblas, retak pinggir, tambalan, lubang, perpotongan rel dan pelepasan butir, dengan nilai PCI 41 yaitu FAIR. Dan pada arah Utara-Selatan adalah retak kulit buaya, cekungan, amblas, lubang, perpotongan rel dan pelepasan butir, dengan nilai PCI 43 yaitu FAIR. Terdapat hubungan antara volume, kecepatan dan waktu dengan nilai kerusakan jalan. Pengaruh volume kendaraan dengan tingkat kerusakan jalan dan hubungan kecepatan kendaraan dengan tingkat kerusakan jalan pada perkerasan lentur. Sehingga dapat diprediksikan lebih awal nilai kerusakan jalan yang akan terjadi, metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis volume kendaraan dan tingkat kerusakan jalan dengan metode regresi. Yaitu untuk mendapatkan fungsi hubungan tersebut dengan nilai R² (koefisien determinasi) yang menunjukkan besarnya pengaruh perubahan variasi volume dan kecepatan kendaraan terhadap perubahan nilai kerusakan jalan. Berdasarkan selama masa percobaan yang telah dilakukan selama hampir 2,5 tahun, menurut pengamatan ini STRAIL cocok untuk digunakan dalam penggunaan material baru dalam sarana perlintasan sebidang.
